"How have you been, Percy?" Rachel asked, as she watched Percy twirl Riptide in it's pen form.

"I've been good." Percy said. Rachel looked at Percy, who had a nonchalant expression on his face.

"You would tell me if something was up, wouldn't you?" She asked quietly, and Percy's brow furrowed with worry.

Did she already know about him?

"Of course, Rachel. You're one of my closest friends, of course I would tell you." He said, and read Rachel's expression carefully. She didn't look convinced.

"Really?" She asked again.

"Really, Rachel. I swear. What's up? You look stressed." He asked, shoving Riptide into his pocket and sat down beside her.

"It's... nothing." She mumbled, and Percy threw her a disbelieving look.

"Oh?" He said sarcastically, and Rachel rolled her eyes.

"It's just some dream I had." She mumbled incoherently, and Percy's brow raised.

"About what?" He asked curiously, placing a comforting hand on her back. Rachel was not the type to get worked over a dream, unless it was something really serious. If something worried her this much, then something must be up.

"That's what I don't remember." She groaned, pressing the heels of her palms into her eyes.

"Hey, it's okay." He said soothingly. "I'm sure it was not important. Otherwise, you would remember, right?" He asked.

"Yeah." She mumbled, nodding, trying to convince herself. "But Percy, you have to promise me something." She said firmly, turning to the other boy.

"What?" He asked.

"You have to promise me that you'll be careful. And you have to tell us if something was up. You would, wouldn't you?" She asked softly, and Percy swallowed.

"Defin-" he started, but he was cut off by another angry, bitter voice.

"He wouldn't."

"So what were you guys doing, during your boy's vacation out?" Piper piped up curiously, wrapping her arms around Jason protectively.

Jason gulped. He didn't want to lie to Piper, but he had no other choice. It was Percy's wish, and he was going to respect that.

"Um, nothing-" he cleared his throat. "Nothing much." He said awkwardly, avoiding eye contact.

Piper laughed. "Come on, you can't be gone for so long and tell me you didn't do anything." She said.

"I tried Percy's mom's blue cookies?" He said, and Piper laughed again.

"Are you asking me or telling me?" She laughed. Then what he told dawned on her.

"Wait. You guys went to New York? Without telling anyone? You assholes!" She said, punching his arm.

"Hey!" He protested, dodging another punch. She stopped her attack and looked at him, eyes filled with disappointment.
