Chapter 52

Aelia's pov

A few teams went ahead, they weren't that impressive to be honest.
But then coming towards the end, a couple teams were spot on, they were almost perfect. Currently we are the last team to go up before the results. My nerves threatened to surface but I glanced to Luna in the crowd

She had a cheeky smile and her thumbs up, it reminded me of our date. I smiled back at her before turning to my team

"We're giving this our all, we either win or lose but that doesn't mean we didn't work damn hard to be here. I love you guys, now let's get out and kill it" I said, the team cheered

I turned towards the mat and closed my eyes. The fresh oxygen entered my lungs before It left. My eyes flung open and I ran towards the center of the floor doing a front flip.

My music blasted through the speakers and the crowd roared as she entered. The team stood behind me in their respective lines, our bodies moved with the beat, the energy and spirit we expressed had the crowd roaring

I pulled my feet behind my head, my hands holding the top of my heat above my shoulder, I twirled on my heel for the judges to see the perfect form.

Mia sqeezed her thigh muscles and and lifted her feet forward, her leg pressed against her chest and her arms were wide, I smiled knowing it would boast our scores even more since her form was perfect

We continued our routine for two minutes until our big finale came, my heart was pounding against my chest. This could make or break our win tonight. It felt like everything was moving in slow motion

The guys smiled and held Mia's heel in their palm, her body was thrown into the air, a few girls did a back flip while she was in the air, Mia's legs parted perfectly and she touched her toes before landing safely in the arms of our teammate. Fuck yeah!

The music faded and we died down our energy, the crowd was on their feet, including one of the judges. I couldn't be more proud of my team and myself for pulling this off.

"Thank you Green Academy for that lovely performance" the announcer's voice rang through the speakers, the deafening applauses still continued. My team and I made our way off the mat, I saw Luna running towards us.

She held the biggest smile, the adrenaline coursed through my veins, I leaped into her arms, my legs wrapped around her waist and I cupped her cheeks, kissing every inch of her beautiful sculpted face.

"I'm so proud of you" she squealed

"I'm proud of us" I said motioning to the team

"You were right, winning isn't important. Having fun and putting our hard work to good use was the best thing to happen" I said

"I love you so much" she said before kissing my cheek,

"You were amazing hunny" My mother said as she walked towards me

"You feet went like whew and everyone else went like pow, then it went like cachow" my father said with wide gentures as he joined us

"Thank you dad" I chuckled

"You know, your mother and I used to do some gymnastics stuff back in the day-"

"EW dad! Stop!" I said disgusted

"Now wait wait, I'd love to hear more" Luna said with a sick smirk on her face

"Ew nooo don't join them, you're supposed to be on my team" I pouted

"Your mother is actually the one that swings both teams-"
