Ch.23 Ghosts: La llorona (Part 2 of 2)

"the ghost that we just saw was your sister?" Tuffnut asked shocked "yeah...she was my sister...from a past life...one night we was at a Japanese restaurant getting some Ramen and afterwards she had to leave early to go see someone...and so I let her leave but then as the months went by I didn't see her again..." Hana said trying not to cry "great...now look at what you did tuffnut" I said "Our mother doesn't like to talk about what happened to her sister...it hurts her very much so...and that mask is all she has left to remember her by at this point" "how come you aren't surprised by that imo?" Winger asked me "it's because I asked her if she had any other siblings from a past life and when I heard that story...I truly felt bad for her...and well I would travel to that same restaurant that my mom and her went to and order that same ramen...to see if she's there I'd order two and tell the person that it's for my mom and I'd head to a very special place that only I know..." I said "and what is this place that you know?" Toothless asked "i'm not telling you guys...it's a secret after all" I said "I'll find out one way or another" Snotlout said before I heard what sounded like crying but it wasn't from my mom "it looks like another spirit needs my help" I said before turning into my coldwraith form and flying off northeast "so...Hana correct?" Heather asked "yeah...that's me" Hana said "i'm sorry to hear about your sister's death...I hope she's in a better place now" Heather said "I know she is heather..." My mother said "so...what's with this ghost eye thing that imo has?" Fishlegs asked "imo...he had that trait ever since he was hatchling but when he first used it he saw a wide variety of ghosts inside our home...most of them being harmless and just wanting to play pranks on us but they always made him laugh when they was around...but then he started talking to one of the ghosts that was in our house...one of them being a vengeful one...but i can't remember the name of it for some reason..." Hibiki said

*Meanwhile at a river*

'What kind of ghost led me here?' I thought to myself before I heard that same crying again 'son...i-is that you?' The ghost asked me before it grabbed me and turned me around but when it saw me it's eyes turned red and it tossed me into the river nearby 'wait a second...I've heard of you through folklore...your la llorona the weeping woman correct?' I asked la llorona 'I am...I got cheated by my ex-husband while I was taking a walk with my two sons by this very river...and I saw and familiar horse carriage go by and when I looked at it I saw him with a younger, wealthier woman...one his father would be proud of...enraged and distraught I threw my two sons in the river and once I saw their floating bodies I threw myself in the river as well hoping to see them in the after life...but now I'm forever doomed to wander this very river...searching for my two sons...' la llorona said 'maria...your son's have always been with you...even in death they still love you, you can keep wandering this world looking for them if you want to...but your kids are always with you even if you accidentally killed them they're right behind you as I'm talking to you right now maria' I said to Maria before she turned around only to see two small little boys tug at her gown 'mommy?' One of the little boys asked 'mommy...we missed you' said the second little boy which brought tears of both sadness and joy to her eyes 'thank you imo...thank you for bringing my sins back to me...now I can rest peacefully knowing that my son's are still with me...come my children...let's go home' Maria said before the three of them turned into butterflies ascending to the heavens the one item left behind was a picture of Maria and her two sons with a note on the back of it saying 'Thank you for reuniting me with my kids...and make sure to give my ex-husband a visit for abandoning me' "I will maria...and trust me...he'll be in the pits of hades burning for what he did to you" I said before flying back to the roost with the picture in my claws
