The story of Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy

The new home

It was an chilly October morning when Lucius got the news that shocked him . It started with Lucius giving Narcissa a tour of their new home . Lucius was looking for Narcissa as she had wondered off . *I have been looking for you everywhere * Lucius said with a sigh his wife had been acting oddly since he had told her that they would be moving to Malfoy manor he didn't want her to be upset . * I was just looking at our home * said Narcissa with a weak smile * I just wandered if you were alright with my parents plans,
well with everything * Lucius was really concerned about his wife as she had never acted like this before . * Lucius I am fine * said Narcissa reassuring him . But Lucius knew something wasn't quite right . Narcissa had gone rather pale and walked  off in  hurry . Lucius was confused so he followed his wife . Narcissa got to the bathroom and locked the door Lucius was worried he suddenly heard his beloved become violently sick . He banged on the door * Narcissa sweetheart is everything ok in there ? * Narcissa opened the door wiping her mouth * yes everything is fine darling * and she carried on as normal Lucius thought that this was normal Narcissa would never ask for help and would always try her best to do everything herself and she would not want Lucius worrying about her and looking after her if she was sick * darling why don't you rest * Lucius was worried he knew she wouldn't last another hour or so she would have to give in. But to his surprise her face was filled with colour she smiled at him * Lucius I am fine it's normal, can we just continue with the tour? *  Narcissa kissed Lucius on the cheek and they continued. It was 11:30 and Lucius was starting to feel better he didn't know why his beloved had thrown up this morning but everything seemed normal  Lucius then asked Narcissa about lunch and she smiled and asked Lucius * darling do you have any pickles I really fancy some? * Lucius stopped in his tracks. He had known Narcissa since she was three he had grown up with her for years. On his  5th birthday he had a big party  and there was loads of food there he had told narcissa to try a pickle he hated pickles and he wanted her to like them so if he was given any he would give them to her. He handed her the pickle and she ate it then something went wrong her face went rather green and she was violently sick everywhere ever since then she could never even look at a pickle without feeling faint. Lucius was reluctant but he loved to make her smile and made her a pickle sandwich she ate the whole thing but then the colour drained from her face and she dashed inside and threw up in the sink * Narcissa darling please lie down * Lucius pleaded and then he asked her what was wrong and she dodged his question * narcissa Elizabeth malfoy you havent eaten a pickle since you were five what has gotten into you?! * lucius told her he was worried about her after all she was his wife and he loved her Narcissa turned to him and said * there is something I need to tell you lucius I'm- . She was cut short when she looked  up to see Severus Snape and a few of his friends Narcissa felt anger thrive through her she knew perfectly well he didn't want her around when his friends showed up. She was hurt she longed to spend the day with him. Narcissa snapped * I am going inside! * she said coldly * Cissy wait! * called Lucius but she had gone. Lucius sighed and went after her he searched for her and found her in what would be her bedroom reading  book as soon as she saw him she snapped the book shut * what are you reading? * he asked * nothing *said  Narcissa quietly *what did you want to tell me * Lucius asked * it doesn't matter * said   Narcissa not even facing him just staring out of the window * it clearly does *said Lucius noticing the tears rolling down Narcissas cheeks. * just leave it... * said Narcissa *it doesn't matter * Lucius stared into her blue eyes swarming with tears * just leave me alone Lucius * Narcissa said her voice shaking * not intil you tell me whats going on with you * Lucius said firmly at that point narcissa had enough * lucius leave me alone you told me to rest and I am now ok you win! * said Narcissa tears pouring down her cheeks

Lucius sighed as he went back downstairs to find his friends listening to his conversation with his wife * I don't know what's bothering her * he began to weep he hated seeing his wife upset. * Lucius pull yourself together * said snape * leave her for a bit if you keep bothering her when she is in that state is going to make her feel worse *
After his friends left he got a tub of chocolate ice cream and a jar of pickles and knocked on the bedroom door * come in * said a small voice. Narcissa looked alot happier she had her night dress on ready for bed. Lucius handed the tray to her and kissed her forehead * thank you * narcissa smiled * so are you feeling carmer? * lucius asked * yes thanks * she said sweetly * lucius there is something I have been meaning to tell you I'm- she was cut short by the streaking of an owl with a letter addressed to her she saw the St Mongos logo she knew what it was she tried to reach it but lucius got their first   * probably just a bill darling * he said in shock narcissa looked scared lucius ripped open the envelope it read.

Dear narcissa malfoy,
Hope you are dealing with the sickness ok just to let you know your 16 week scan is on Friday the 25th of October please sent us a letter back to confirm the epointment all the best

Lucius stared at his wife who looked like she had just seen a ghost she clearly didn't want him to open this letter and now he was starting to feel guilty it was none of his business
* your sick darling? * Lucius started to panic * I will look after you it's ok I will work less so I can spend more time with you * Lucius said in a flash narcissa looked up at him and laughed he had no idea what that letter was. * I am not sick, or have any desese I am just pregnant! * narcissa blurted out.
