Chapter 27: Third Wheels... Are The Worst!

   We were fresh on the town and it was so cool! Little does Chunta know, when he was asleep I was searching up the town to impress him and I heard of this really cool bridge, Nuevo Bridge if I remember correctly. I tap Chunta's shoulder.
   "Yes Taka-Darling?" He smiled at me but I was too concerned about the bull right next to us.
   "Hey C-Chunta can we-" I got interupted by a raging bull grabbing Chunta's arm and dragging him over to a building.
   "Come on Junta, since you're my best friend, and I know you the best, let's go to Tivoli World. I remember every summer we would go and getting mi máma's funnel cake at her shops station." He shook Antonio off almost instantly and grabbed me.
   "What do you think Taka-Darling, do you want to go to an amusement park?" Parks are fun, we never had a amusement park date before. This way I can learn more about Chunta's childhood, plus... perhaps on the Ferris wheel, on the tip top, we can share a kiss, like in those cliché movies. I wanted to go, but I can't let him know. I stuck my nose in the air.
   "I guess, it's fine. We can go if you want to." Antonio grabbed Chunta's hand and ran off.
   "Great, let's go Junta! Oh, and it's not walking distance so I call shotgun!" I growled.
   That raging bull!!!
   We all went to the car and the whole time he was being all buddy-buddy to my mans and he was being buddy-buddy-buddy with that idiot bull. Worst part about it was I couldn't do anything because I was in the back because after he said 'shotgun' I started running towards the car and he started running too and beat me towards the car. Damn him and those Spaniard muscles.
   "Takato, are you alright? You've been giving weird looks at me for the past fifteen minutes."
   "I'm fine." I say quickly. Though in reality, I've been staring bullets at this bootleg chief Bogo from Zootopia lookin' self for being a total third wheel. Antonio tapped Chunta's shoulder.
"Hey amigo, look at that roadkill outside."
"What roadkill?" While Chunta was distracted, Antonio saw it fit to make faces at me. This guy... he makes me so angry.
"I don't see any roadkill." He quickly turned back to the front and smiled.
"Perdón, perdón mi amigo, (Sorry, sorry my friend) maybe my eyes need to be checked." And your attitude as well. I thought.
"Hey, we're almost here towards Tovoli World, I can see it in the distance!" The bull excitedly says.
"Oh, you're right." Chunta bleakly says.
"Yeah, I can't wait to ride all our favorite rides." I wonder what rides Chunta likes? I shook the thought out of my head.
We paid for admission and went inside the park it was so cool. I was taking in all the lights, the scenery, if Spain offered me acting gigs then I see no reason to leave! No! You're here on a mission, to make sure that bull doesn't get to close to my boyfriend!
"Chunta-" I was going to get Chunta but that man stealer bull had his arms all around my Chunta. What am I saying, it's like I care or anything, what's with me acting like some girl in a shoujo manga being jealous over someone. I don't have to worry.
"Junta, let's go on the carousel, it's always tradition for us to go on that first." Chunta looked over at me.
"Taka-Darling, do you-"
"I'm fine." I walked towards the carousel. Oh no, was I to harsh. I thought I had messed up but instead he laughed at me. Stupid Angel, stupid bull. Antonio grabbed Chunta and ran to the carousel and gave him the tickets.
We went on the ride and Antonio was all over him and it made my skin boil. The ride was over Antonio grabbed Chunta before I could even talk to him he would drag Chunta on the next ride, taking jabs at my pride while at it.
After literally hours of cat and mouse, we stopped for drinks and I really needed a good beer. I was just letting my legs relax my legs but of course Antonio has some vendetta against me and ruined the peace.
"Hey Junta, there's a test your strength booth over there. You wanna see me destroy it and win you a prize. You can watch too Niña, I'll completely win over this Angel and impress him with my strapping muscles." I growled under my breath. He went up to me and sneered.
"What, you wanna try too Niña? Like you have a chance against me." I stared him down.
"Play nice you too." Chunta said.
"Don't worry, I'm just having fun." He walked past me and shouldered me. I growled even more. I gave him a ticket and grabbed the mallet. Oh no, what did I get myself into. I'm not that strong, shoot, Antonio is literally a raging bull right now! Calm down, all I have to do is concentrate. I hit the mallet down and it went pretty far up if I do say myself, and Chunta cheered.
   "Way to go darling!" See, I never had to worry about anything. It was now Antonio's turn and I felt pretty confident, until Antonio rung the bell and won a prize.
   "That's right, Junta, praise me now~"
   "Oh, I guess you did well too I guess..." I don't know, but for reason I couldn't take it anymore and grabbed Chunta's arm and hastily walked away with him.
   "C-Chunta, show me where the bathroom is." I kept walking.
   "Taka-Kun, the bathrooms are the other way." I didn't care. I walked towards the Ferris Wheel and thank the lord there wasn't much of a line. We went in and let out a sigh. Chunta let out a laugh and I yelled out.
   "What's with you, you stupid angel!" He laughed some more.
   "I'm sorry, I just find you so cute when you're jealous."
   "I'm not jealous!" I retorted.
   "Yes you are." Chunta said.
   "Am not!" Chunta laughed some more and I pouted again.
   "You were probably thinking, 'How come Antonio is trying to take him away,why is he so close to him?' " How did he know?
   "D-Don't flatter yourself C-Chunta." He came closer saying embarrassing stuff again.
   "How come he's not paying attention to me? I want him to kiss me." I blushed and looked away.
   "T-that's not true at all!" He just giggled and came closer to me.
   "You're very entitled Takato." I turned away from him some more.
   "That's not true, shut up!" He grabbed my arms and made me face him.
   "I probably made you feel left out when I was with Antonio, but you're face was really cute when I ignored you, I'm sorry."
   "... Stupid Angel." Why must he toy with my heart that.
   "Idiot." He laughed and had that beautiful smile on that face. I became smitten. He leaned and whispered in my ear.
   "I would never fall for anyone besides you, I keep telling you, I'll make it so your heart, body, and mind unable to forget mine." The cart stopped at the tippy-top, with a view of the sunset, just like in those cliché movies. It felt as if time has stopped completely and I took the initiative and kissed him. My emotions were overflowing, and I couldn't take it anymore. He immediately kissed back, and for this slim moment in time, it felt like paradise. The kiss ended and we were nearing the end of the ride.
The ride ended and we were walking out hand in hand and the bull came back.
"Oh, there you are. I was getting worried when you weren't at the bathroom." He saw us holding holding hands and I saw his eye twitch.
"Oh, you guys were on the Ferris Wheel together?"
"Yeah, Taka-Kun wanted to go on before we go." I tell he didn't like it.
"That's okay, Hey Junta, you wanna hit my favorite rollercoaster before we go?" Chunta looked at me and then that jealous bull.
"Actually, it's getting quite late, we should head home. I bet mí abuelo has dinner ready."
"O-Okay." He was getting angry and I'd be wrong if I said I didn't like this. He might have the advantage of being the childhood friend but I have Chunta's love, and I'm okay with that.

1432 words! (Excluding this outro) I have nothing really to say so here's a fun fact. Did you know Junta in Spanish generally means meeting or committee, I also heard in Latin America they use it to describe a bond, like friendship. But I don't know how true it is, 🇨🇺.
