Ch. 33 "The Past"

                                                     Steve POV 

I handed Zoey to Bruce, him and Tony disappeared behind the closed door, while I paced back and forth in the hallway, 

Zoey's blood covered my uniform, 

"She's going to be fine," I mumbled as I paced 

"Steve," Bucky said 

I looked at him worried, she has to be there is so much I want to tell her, I want to apologize for being so hard on her, I want to tell her how much she's changed my life, how much I'm happy to have a daughter like her, how proud I am of her, 

                                           Tony POV 

we were getting ready to Sedate Zoey a I was about to put the mask over my mouth to gas her, when she grabbed my wrist, 

"Find the serum," She mumbled 

"What serum?" I asked as I looked at Bruce, 

She was having a hard time getting the words out, she was weak and out of it from blood loss, 

"My old house, under my bed under the floor bored... keep if from them," She mumbled 

"What Serum Zoey?" I said 

"We need to put her under now," Bruce said 

I nodded putting the mask over her nose and mouth, 

I walked out to Find Clint and Nat, 

"Guys, I need a favor," I said 

"What is it?" Nat said 

"Go to Zoey's old house, under her bed under the floor board there is some kind of serum bring it here," I said 

They looked at each other, 

"I'll explain later," I said 

They both nodded 

                                   Zoey POV 

Beep, Beep, Beep, 

My heavy eyelids slowly fluttered open, I blinked a few times due to the bright light, 

I see Dad sitting drinking coffee looking down, 

Bucky was not far from him, 

"Daddy?" I said weakly 

Dad and Bucky's heads shot up 

"Zoey! thank god," Dad said rushing towards me hugging me, 

"You scared the hell out of us kid," Bucky said 

"Sorry.." I said 

"It's alright, how are you feeling?" Dad asked 

"I'm tired," I said 

"Banner said you lost a lot of blood, your going to be feeling a little lousy for a few days," Bucky said 

I nodded 

Tony then walked in with the tube from under my bed at my old house, 

"Zoey what the hell is this?" Tony said 

"You and I both know you already know, you already tested it," I said 

"What the hell did they do to you?" Tony said looking at me horrified 

"What's going on?" Dad asked 

"Before surgery she told me to go to her old house to retrieve this," Tony said 

Dad and Bucky both looked at me, 

"Tests say that this is 100% match to your blood and spinal fluid," Tony said 

I nodded 

"I'll ask again what the hell were they doing to you?" Tony asked 

I looked at Dad and Bucky worried 

"You can trust us kid," Tony said 

"It's more than my blood and spinal fluid.." I mumbled 

I closed my eyes reliving the memory of what they did with that very long needle, jabbing it in my spin while I was being held down, 

"What is it?" Dad asked 

"The super solider serum they were extracting it from my DNA," I said 

Everyone in the room looked horrified, 

"So when I escaped after... when I escaped I grabbed it before they could use it, and I hid it," I said 

"How did they exactly you know?" Tony asked 

"I don't remember," I said weakly 

"Okay, kid don't worry we'll keep it safe, and get some rest," He said leaving the room 

I closed my eyes reliving that day, the sinister laughs as I screamed in pain, as I tried to struggle as tears fell down my face 

As I was thinking about it my heart monitor started picking up going faster 

Beep! Beep! Beep! 

"You do remember don't you?" Bucky asked 

I shook my head 

"No, I don't," I said sadly 

trying to block out the memory 

"We don't believe you," Dad said 

"Please talk to us," Bucky said 

It was quiet for a little when they were looking at each other I decided to speak

"I could feel it you know," I said 

"Feel what?" Dad asked 

"The needle in my spine, as I screamed and tried to get them off of me from holding me down,there were just to many of them," I said 

Bucky and Dad looked horrified, 

I felt a tear fall down my cheek, it was a memory I just wanted to keep buried, 

"Zoey we promise nothing like that is going to happen again," Dad said 

I nodded 

I felt my eyelids grow heavy and darkness take me once again,
