Chapter 12: Rules

After everyone has finished eating, I try sneaking away from them hoping that Xavier forgot about me.

"Follow me" Xavier said as I was just taking a step towards the exit. 'This is not gonna be good' I think to myself.

As we arrive in his office, I immediately feel extremely nervous. It's a huge room with a desk in the middle with some led lights in the ceiling.

He motions me to sit across from him on a chair as he sits behind his desks. The room had a dark theme around it and the walls were black in color.

I see Xavier digging for some papers in his drawer and placing them on the desk.

"As you now live here it is crucial for you to follow every rule of this house. However, if you break any rule you will get punished" He says looking at me with an emotionless face. 'Punishment? Is he going to hit me?'

"As I already said before I will need verbal answers from you and nothing more" He says as he notices I'm not much of a talker.

"Y-yes i understand" I say feeling my heart rate increase.

"Rule number 1, You are never allowed to lie about anything and there are no exceptions. Rule number 2. You will respect all of your older brothers, meaning you are not allowed to back talk, curse, sass or anything that would disrespect us. Rule number 3. You will not leave the property without notice, if you want to go out you will have to inform one of your brothers. Rule number 4, You will do all your homework and not skip any school. Rule number 5, You will not be allowed to have any contact with boys, having a bf should obviously be out of the question" He informs as i respond in 'yes' or 'i understand'.

"Wait, what do you mean no contact with boys?" I ask surprised as he looked annoyed by my question.

"Is there a problem with that rule, don't tell me you already have a boyfriend Ariana" He says as he narrows his cold steel gray eyes on me.

"N-no i d-don't it's just that i still have friends that are boys, but they are really only friends and nothing more" I explain frantically while looking down at my hands on my lap.

I was always hanging around with Sebastian, my 'twin brother' back in the day which resulted in me getting guy friends and also getting used to hanging around more boys than I did with girls. It natury felt easier for me to make friends with guys as time went on.

"Well too bad, you will have to find someone else because i'm not having my little sister running around with hormonal boys" He says with a stern voice.

"Okay" I say with a sigh knowing that I can't actually leave my best friend like that. 'It's fine, I'll make it work somehow' I try thinking positively.

"Also you will enroll in a new school where Noah and the twins are going so they can keep an eye on you while you study" He says, making me look up.

"A new school? but what about my old friends?" I say with worry. I have a super hard time finding friends and was lucky when i finded C.J and Freya. If i can't be with them i doubt i will be able to make any new friends.

"I had a report that your old school building was burnt down, all of the students there are being removed to another building. Luckily for you the building they are removed to is directly connected to your new school although the students from both schools do not mix" He answers. 'YES THANK GOD I CAN SEE MY FRIENDS AGAIN!' I happily think, making myself smile.
