THE RAVENCLAW-SLYTHERIN TRIO and the Marauder's prank war ensued, much to the Professor's disapproval, albeit a source of amusement and irritation for a plethora of the student body. The teens often targeted each other when left unsupervised, attempting to catch the opposing party by surprise. Nevertheless, some schemes were unavoidable in areas where many people were present, thus resulting in more eyes witnessing their antics.
The prank war between the Gryffindors and the Ravenclaw-Slytherin trio grew increasingly elaborate and ingenious, with the two opposing parties engaging in a fierce quest to outdo one another. The pranks involved an array of alterations ranging from physical transformations to repulsive odours, and other discomforting ailments. The teens went to extraordinary lengths to keep up with each other's pranks, resulting in an ongoing series of tricks that continued to intensify as the days passed. No stone was left unturned, and the tricks became more elaborate with time. As time passed, the tricks escalated, with each respective party going to increasingly intricate lengths in order to gain an advantage over the other.
During their prank war, which had become a frequent occurrence, there was oftentimes an intended target. Autumn frequently found herself engaging in pranks against James, while he reciprocated in kind. Despite the intent on her part to elicit negative reactions from James, she enjoyed the reaction he would display upon being pranked by her. Both teens derived a degree of amusement from the other's response to their tricks.
