EVERYONE KNEW OF MARY MACDONALD. She was sweet and honest, and perhaps she was a bit too easy to forgive people. A part of her was quite innocent, which was probably one of the reasons for her forgiving nature. She was the one who had also told Lily Evans, that Severus had waited outside the Gryffindor Tower to give Lily a proper apology for calling her a mudblood the year prior.

After the incident with the Slytherins, her two friends, Marlene McKinnon and Dorcas Meadowes did not leave her side, no matter where they went, they were always with her. They were worried, knowing, that their friend was hurt, physically, and emotionally.

Mary was in the Gryffindor house, along with her friends Marlene and Dorcas. The three girls were of the same age group, as the Marauders as well with Autumn, Raven, Elliot, and Lily.

Mary, had no ill feelings towards anyone, but her close friends, were a whole different story—Lily Evans, who was their dorm mate, had some previous conflicts with Marlene and Dorcas, however this was mainly, due to Lily's previous friendship with Severus, who began to hang out, with Avery and Muciblier.

When Lily finally stopped being friends with Severus, things still remained tense, for the others in the friend group. Marlene and Dorcas, were not as forgiving towards Lily, as Mary had been. However, they all remained civil, towards each other, and tried their best, to be cordial, at the very least.
