Chapter Forty Four: It's how it goes

It's been four days since i left the house,No call No letter Not a single news from Ivan was Heard,i was worried and kept asking Eric to at least call..but he insisted that Ivan wouldn't appreciate that we broke the rules,

I spent most of my days in my bedroom,
The house had two bedrooms,William gave me a small bedroom that was at the end of the hallway in front of the bathroom,it had two windows,

There was no second floors in this house,so i had the view straight to the garden,
On the far end of the hallway that went all the way to the other side of the house was William's room,and Eric...he couldn't agree to take Williams room so he sleeps on the couch in the living room.

My room was small,one twin sized bed that was pushed against the wall,and one nightstand stood at the free spot next to the bed,
A closet in front of the bed and finally one lonely coat hanger in the corner.

The Sheer White curtains covered the windows but i could still see the water droplets on the glass,it was pouring,my room had all the lights off but the streetlights sent small beams of yellow light into the room,i couldn't deny how aesthetically pleasing it was,the bed was really comfortable and i was comfortable in this house.

The sound of rain and thunder was the only thing i could hear,it was close to 2am now,
and I still couldn't sleep.

I sat up from my cozy position and turned the table lamp on the night stand next to me on letting the dimly lit room become fully lit with the warm yellowish orange color,
I took my phone and dialed Ivan's number,
Hesitation took over me,I really wanted to talk to him,it wasn't fair how much i was missing him,I haven't heard of him for four days straight.

But what if he was asleep? Maybe he had no time to talk to me..or what if he was hurt or something bad had happened? because he said that he'd call me,but Suddenly as I was about to press the button i hear two faint knocks on the door,

"...come in?" I replied in a faint tone,
"Are you alright Madam?"Eric He asked concerned,
"What Why? I'm doing just fine.." I replied in confusion,

"Your phone monitor went off,and i was confused to what you'd use your Phone for at two in the morning," he explained still standing at the door,
"Phone monitor? What the hell??" I asked even more confused,
"Master told us to keep monitoring the phone. Every time you try to call or receive a call I'd instantly know,it's just to make sure that whoever is calling isn't trying to track you down." He explained,

"I-I'm fine i was just calling..Ivan" i sighed putting the phone down,
"Madam.." he started,
"I know that you are going through a rough time and you're worrying about the safety of Master,but you need to understand that he is still working and unable to call because there is simply no time,i know Master really well,he can take care of himself,he's a strong person,so don't stress yourself out by worrying about him,"

"-I'll try...thank you though,i hope that I didn't bother you since i was literally on my phone all night," i replied,
"I'm a light sleeper anyways,if you need anything don't hesitate to come to me,or even wake me up," he smiled softly,
"Okay Eric..goodnight.." i smiled back,
"Goodnight." He replied and left closing the door behind him,

I ran my fingers through my hair and massaged my scalp,i sat still for a while trying to relax for once,I turned the light off and slipped into my warm spot again,I turned to the side facing the wall,and tried to fall asleep.

The thunder only grew louder and stronger,i was barely able to contain myself from flinching every time it struck,it reminded me of gunshots,I couldn't bear being alone,Why is Ivan not with me,I can't not be with him,
It's driving me crazy,I'm scared and alone,i need him.
