:Ellana:

"Is this all of your stuff?" Jack asks.

"We're only going for a week," I reply.

"Apparently girls pack a lot."

"Not me. I need one bag for clothes, and a backpack for the rest. Mind you, that's a small bag."

He scratches his head. "I guess." He closes the trunk and hops into the driver's seat, starting up the SUV.

"Why can't we take your Lamborghini?"

"This vehicle is black. It looks professional."

I roll my eyes and scoff. "Who cares about that? The Lamborghini is cool."

"Well, it's this, or we walk."

"I'm not walking to Brazil!"

He smirks. "That's what I thought."

Yes. We are going to Brazil. We are making peace with the most feared in South America. We are titled most feared in North America. I guess the alpha there decided he had too many rebels, so we are taking some, and he is going to make a pact with us. I thought it was a pretty good deal. Jack thought it was an okay deal. The only sad part is we're taking an orphan, because the alpha doesn't want him. It's sad because his parents passed away just recently. We don't know where he will go. We asked around, and a few women said they could take care of him. He might go to a neighbouring pack as well.

The back door opens and in comes Tyler.

"You got everything?" Jack asks, looking in the mirror, and pressing on the gas.

"Would I have a chance to go back if I needed to?"

"Depends."

"Shane?"

"I chose him to stay here, because he's more reliable then you."

Tyler places a hand over his heart.

"You're still a kid. Shane is older and more responsible."

"I'm twenty!"

"Oh, yeah. Why don't you act like it, then?"

"At least I'm not a party pooper like you and Shane. Ellie gets me."

Jack raises a brow at me.

"N-no idea w-what he's talking about," I stutter.

"Yeah, remember that one time-"

"No! No, I don't!" I can feel the blood rushing to my face.

"You're lucky I've already taken a lot from you, Ellana. I don't have much leverage, anymore."

I frown. "Yeah, I know. Thanks for the reminder." A lot has changed since two hours ago. I face Tyler as Jack turns out of the driveway. "Guess what? He took away my cookies, Reese cups and pieces, chocolate milk, Fruit Loops, Ritz, ice cream, and hot chocolate."

"And cake," Jack whispers.

"What?!" Tyler blows up. "You can't do that! That's fucking mean!"

"Well, she's listening, now, isn't she?"

"I'm gonna take away something you love," I state.

"There's not much you can take, meine Liebe." (My love.)

"Oh, but what about your Mini Ritz?"

He glares at me. "Nobody could ever take away my Mini Ritz, and you know that."

"What are you gonna do about it?"

"I would spank you like a four year old."

I choke. "You wouldn't."

"I would."

As Jack and I take on the challenge of a staring contest, Tyler clears his throat. "As much as I love watching this, please not with me here. Plus, aren't you supposed to be watching the road?"

Jack breaks eye contact. "Fine. Now you know how I feel when you and Shane are in the same room."

"That was one time."

"That was on multiple occasions!"

"We're not that bad!"

Oh dear. This is going to be a long trip.

"What are you doing?" I ask Jack.

He smiles at me. It's not a silly one, it's genuine. "Why do you want to know?"

"It looks a little concerning, to be honest," I laugh. And I am genuinely happy. Really happy.

He bends over and fixes the gift under the tree, shaking his butt a little.

"I'm serious, what the heck are you doing?"

"I'm just making sure it looks good for my beautiful mate."

"Oh, really. Who's that?" I smile at him, showing my teeth, something I don't do often.

He returns it and jogs over to me. Suddenly his lips are on mine. He pulls back in a couple seconds.

"I love you, Sophia," he says and walks back to the tree.

"Sophia?"

"Yes, Sophia."

I frown. "Who's Sophia?"

He just kissed me, and said some random name.

"Sophia," he repeats, the smile frozen on his face. "Sophia. Sophia."

I back up.

"Sophia. Sophia." Suddenly he's in front of me, kissing me again.

***

"Ellana!"

I jump. "Huh?" I shield my eyes from the sun.

"You fell asleep. C'mon. We're here."

I look around at Jack then a exhausted Tyler, and the other people across from us.

"We're in Brazil. We landed."

A few people shove past the seats we are sitting in.

I rub my eyes. "Oh." Then I close them again. We're on an airplane, I guess. I don't remember going to the airport, or anything.

Somebody hoists me up by my armpits. I cuddle into whoever it is, but the sparks prove that it's Jack.

He laughs. "Come on."

"No, I wanna sleep."

"You've been sleeping for... sixteen hours."

I don't reply. I'm tired.

"It's two in the morning. I know you're tired, but we've gotta get off."

"No."

He sighs and picks me up.

I hug him even tighter, scared that I might fall.

He bends down a little to pick something up.

It's now that I remember my dream.

"I had a dream," I say quietly.

"Oh, yeah? What was it?"

"You were there and said somebody's name."

He waits patiently as he starts walking down the aisle.

I can't quite remember the name... Oh, that's right. "Oh, Sophia."

He tenses a little, but quickly covers it up. "Oh, yeah? Was I at least nice in the dream?"

The noise slowly starts to fade away.

I bump around a little bit, but I don't hurt myself, or anything.

I just want to sleep.
