"Haaa...."

Lia let out a long and dejected sigh as she stands in front of the bathroom mirror, She twisted the handle of the faucet and began to wash her face. The sudden feeling of cold water splashing to her skin felt a bit uncomfortable but refreshing at the same time, Which Lia found to be one of life's greatest mysteries

On a side note, While washing her face she noticed that the design of the bathroom was way too different compared to the other rooms, which is a bit strange for her

'This place doesn't look bad per see..but it feels a bit weird coming in here after seeing the extravagant looking place outside'

Lia grabbed the towel at the side and wiped her face along with the excess thoughts in her mind. She gave her cheeks a good slapping before opening the door and initiating her work mode

Her heels echoed throughout the red-carpeted hallways while eying at the household servants who were still doing their assigned jobs. Though her master had her retire for the day, her workaholic attitude couldn't bear to just let her sit around dallying

"Excuse me, is there something I could help you guys with?"

Lia voiced her desire to a group of servants who were cleaning the pillars, all of them looked a bit flustered upon seeing her and hastily replied

"Oh, Lia- ...I-I mean...Ma'am Lia!"

'Again with this...'

This made Lia want to do a facepalm, but she knew that it would be downright improper to do while working, so she held herself. Showing a bright and professional smile she said

"You don't need to be so formal, Just Lia would suffice"

"N-No! I mean, It would be rude to address a superior without honorifics right?"

'A superior? What the hell are you talking about? I just started working here a few days ago! and seriously you people are being too stiff, I've had older people working under me back then but they wouldn't act like this'

Lia wanted to fix the way they address her but figured that doing so would waste more time that could be used to work so she changed the topic

"Anyway back to my question, Do you guys need help?"

"O-Oh no, we're almost done after all, Right?"

The servant turned to his fellow colleagues and all of them nodded in unison

Of course, Lia could tell that this was a lie. one glance was enough to know that they were far from over, most of the pillars around them still had a bit of dirt and dust, and the way their cleaning was so sloppy and inefficient that she wanted to just grab their tools and do the deed herself

But that would be unprofessional, everyone has their own jobs that they should do so one must stay out of it. It would be a different story if they asked for help but they insisted LIa that they were fine so she couldn't interfere

'Maybe some of them are also workaholics like me...In which case, I kinda understand why they don't want me to help...'

Convincing herself that it was the case, Lia gave an elegant bow and said

"I see, Then I'll be on my way then. Please call me if you need any assistance"

"R-Right ma'am!"

Lia then proceeded to walk around, Looking for more work to be done

But alas, There were none. The other household servants acted the same way as the ones before. In fact, ever since the duel was settled a few days ago, every household servants in the manor would treat her in a weird way
