The Iron Maiden

Part 10

Located in the Rosenblade manor was a dark averagely-sized room

Well, based on the standard of the Rosenblade family's it was. In truth, the size of this room was more than four hundred square feet so needless to say, it was quite big

But even though the room was spacious, it only had the simple necessities in it. A bed, a table, and a few cabinets that contained clothes and other important essentials.

The sound of the door opening was suddenly heard inside the room, and the light that came from the other side illuminated the dim place

"I'm home...wait that isn't it"

Standing at the door was a young-looking child that was wearing a maid uniform, Her green eyes began to dart around the room, scanning each and every one of its nooks and cranny. After feeling satisfied, the girl gave out a huge sigh of relief and closed the door

"That was way too exhausting..."

The maid, Lia, said in a tone that was filled with fatigue as she walks towards the window of the room

Opening It, she opened her arms wide and basked in the cold breeze of the night

'Ahhh...this is what life is all about, feeling the air after a hard day at work is amazing...Oh god...it's sho good'

Whilst enjoying the pleasures caused by the wind hitting her skin, Lia suddenly remembered the scene that happened earlier, which needless to say, annoyed her

"Fear is the only symbol of loyalty huh?... You're still far too naive kid"

 Despite being a kid herself, Lia began to insult Raiden in her mind

'Come to think of it I left him pretty beat up there...Since I did it the textbook way then he should recover after a few minutes but...'

Lia felt a bit worried but soon discarded her thoughts, The security in the Rosenblade manor is nothing to scoff at, if someone bearing ill will to either Raiden or her master were to infiltrate this place then they would've been found in a heartbeat

And combined with Raiden being at a place that was protected with a barrier, she concluded that Raiden was in the safest place in the mansion, therefore giving her the relief for his safety

"I still have to prepare for tomorrow...Why was I sent back here anyway?"

Lia had already planned to still continue working but was immediately dismissed by her master

"Lia you've been working for three days straight, please rest I beg you! I'm the one getting tired of seeing you like this!", Even her master which was known to be an anomaly herself, cowered in the face of Lia's desire to work

And after her failed attempts to find more work to do, Lia could only retire back to her room

"I guess I'll take a bath..."

Having said this, closed the covers of the window and began to undress herself

 The act of undressing may sound simple enough, but to Lia, it was quite a chore

Her uniform was riddled with hidden knives that she uses in cases of emergency. Some were hidden at her sleeves,  others were at the abdomen and chest area, while some were hidden in the thighs

They were kept in a clever way so as to not be noticed by most people but thanks to the stunt of her master, practically all of the household servant are on guard for knives at her presence, rendering the point of hiding them to be useless

'Well I could still use the others things, But I didn't want to show any of my cards yet...'

Having thought of this, she finished removing her clothes and grabbed a nearby white towel with a knife hidden at it for self-defense purposes, and proceeded towards the bathroom
