Lia walked in the carpeted hallways of the third floor in good spirits

Though short, she had realized that she was finally able to help a fellow servant with their work. And she hoped that events like these which gave her the chance to swoop in would appear more often

Though of course, she would prefer it next time if there were no discrimination involved and situations that would make her stand out

She stopped in front of a door with a rose emblem on it, which signifies that this is a room that is used by a family member

Lia ignored the two golden armours that were standing on either side of the doors and checked her appearance one last time.

Even though she had mixed feelings when it comes to her master, she couldn't possibly do work while looking half-assed, it would be a disgrace to the creed of Victoria after all

After straightening her appearance, she took a deep breath and knocked at the door. After a few seconds, the door opened slightly and Lia saw the familiar face of an elderly butler

"Oh, if it isn't Miss Lia. A good day to you"

"A Good day, Sir Gunther. Is the master in?"

"But of course, rather, it would be quite strange if she wasn't managing affairs while the Empire's state is like this"

Lia thought back at the situation earlier and replied

"You and I agree there"

"Oh, but I've dawdled for too long, I'll ask permission from the master first so please wait a moment"

Gunther closed the door and Lia waited for a few moments before it was opened again

"Come in, Miss Lia"

She then entered the room and saw the extravagant office that her master was residing in. The white marble tiles on the floor were practically shining as the huge chandelier above them gave light

Scattered around the room were the same golden armors from the outside who were standing motionlessly. and the center of the room was a table that was stacked with loads of paperwork, and the one doing them is her master

Aithne looked a bit haggard as she stares at one paper and signs it with her quill. She then grabbed a huge stack of paper and signaled Gunther to come closer

"Take these to our retainers who are staying in the city. Tell them to follow the instructions written in the papers as concisely as possible, One screw up and our relationship with the Jade Guild may go downhill"

"Understood"

"Ask Titus to give you some escorts, I'm sure he'll know what to do...and after this, you may retire for the day"

"As you wish"

"Thank you, Gunther. stay safe out there"

The butler gave a solemn bow and quickly exited the room along with the papers

The room was silent for a while before Aithne spoke

"Could you make me some tea, Lia?"

"Of course"

Lia responded as she walks to the side of the room, there was already a bottle of hot water and a few tea leaves so Lia didn't need to do much

After preparing the tea, Lia caught a whiff of its aroma. It wasn't anything special compared to the other teas that are usually served to nobles, but Lia knew that her master preferred basic teas over extravagant ones
