if she flinches when
you go to put your arm around her,
it's because someone else's hand
once wasn't so sweet.
if she questions you,
it's because she's been lied to.
if she doesn't tell you things,
it's because someone else
betrayed her secrets.
so,
behind every 'complicated' girl,
or a girl scared to love,
is a girl who is tired of being broken.
