Alex's friends have been teasing him a lot about him and Kurtis. Preston even has a bet going on with Marisa- their mutual friend- about the two boys, but he's not sure exactly what they're betting on. All Alex knows is the two giggle whenever Kurtis and him get a little too flirty with each other.

Alex really just wants to tell his friends to shut the fuck up and let him think for himself. Maybe it's their teasing that's getting to his head.

But he doesn't say that because he wouldn't say that to his friends when they aren't meaning any harm. "I just... ugh! I don't know! I'm confused."

"Been there, done that," Reid and Preston say in unison. They laugh at themselves speaking the same phrase at the same time. Grayson chuckles.

Alex rolls his eyes. "Guys, I'm being serious."

Their laughter ceases. "So you're confused about Kurtis. So what? Kiss him and see how that feels." Preston suggests.

Alex and Reid roll their eyes, and Grayson scoffs.

"No," Reid shuts that down, giving Preston a harmless glare. Then he looks at Alex, "I don't understand, you told him you're bisexual and now he's not talking to you?"

"No, it's what I said afterwards that made him upset," Alex explains and tells them exactly how their conversation went.

"Yikes," Reid comments.

"Damn," comes from Grayson.

And "you dumb-ass," from Preston.

"I knowww!" Alex drags out and runs his hands down his face then collapses his face into his palms, his elbows digging into his thighs for support. "And I don't know how to fix it. He won't pick up his phone or respond to my texts."

"Go talk to him!" They all shout at Alex because they've come to learn that communication really is the key to any type of relationship.

He groans dramatically even though they're right. He should've went to Kurtis from the start, hell, he should've ran after him! But he didn't know how to explain himself. And he still doesn't know.

"Well, how do you feel when he's around or not around you?" Reid ask, trying to get to the bottom of this sexuality dilemma.

"I feel..." he's trying to find the right words because he doesn't want to fuck up like when he last spoke to Kurtis. "Like I'm important. Like anything I say is worth listening to. When he's around me, he makes me feel... I don't know, special and wanted."

Preston laughs, "that's so gay," and he loses his last life in Brawl, making Grayson the winner. "Goddammit."

The rest of them ignore Preston's comments.

"Ya' know, you could be pansexual," Reid offers. They're not starting another game because they're all too invested in Alex's love life at the moment.

"Or Demisexual," Grayson adds.

"I don't even know what those are," Alex admits. He's never had to think about any of this before Kurtis. He always knew who he was and know he feels clueless.

"Fuck labels!" Preston exclaims. "Who fucking cares? They're just words so that everything can fit into a nice, organized box. You worrying about labels is only going to make you more confused. You're Alex fucking Wells! Be him, and go fuck Kurtis, already!"

The group is speechless from Preston's little outburst. But, you know what? Maybe Preston's right. Does Alex really have to label himself? There's so many different ways to identify your sexuality now-a-days, that it's all too much for Alex to comprehend.

He just wants to kiss Kurtis!

Wait... did he just...? He... wants to kiss Kurtis.

Alex Wells wants to kiss Kurtis!

Alex stands up, not being able to sit still. He knows he's been wanting to kiss Kurtis, but the thought of 'figuring himself out' was overwhelming him. Who fucking cares? He's Alex fucking Wells and he doesn't have to explain himself to anybody.

Alex grabs his keys from where he left them at the kitchen counter and hurriedly puts his Converse on.

"I'm going to Kurtis'" he tells his friends, he doesn't mind that they're all in his house. They know how to lock up and find their way home.

"Atta' boy!" Preston shouts with Grayson wolf-whistling, and Reid grinning.

"Okay, um, do you guys-?"

"Just go!" Reid yells in excitement to Alex.

And Alex complies.

**

I just want to say; my characters are NOT me! I know some people feel comfortable and/or need the structure that labels provide them. Rather you label yourself or not is your choice. It's all on preference.

Anyway, thank you for reading!! I love you all <3
