Running at the speed of light,
Through slush and goo and mud
But still going so slow,
Occasionally landing with a thud
Speeding through affairs,
A determined goal in mind
But having that one obstacle,
Always falling far behind
Slow and steady wins the race?
I don't think so, not at this pace
For us we're going too fast,
That's how we perceive it
For others we're just way too slow,
Another target for them to hit
They don't seem to understand,
All the troubles that we face
We just never really speak of it,
So they don't give us any space
To get through life,
We have to yell
Because being nice,
No, that won't sell
Welcome to Earth,
Where have I been?
Lost in a fantasy,
Where I'd done no sins
