DIALOGUE

GOLDEN CAFÉ
11:36 PM

DIVINE:
Wake up.

Divine slightly shook Luxury's shoulder, waking him up from his deep sleep. But the latter only groan as a response. Divine took a deep breath as she watched Luxury go back to his sleep.

DIVINE:
Uuwi na, Luxury.

LUXURY:
Hmm . . . 5 more minutes, please.

DIVINE:
Kung hindi ka pa gigising diyan, una na akong uuwi sayo.

LUXURY:
Ito na po. Gigising na po!

Still with his half-awake senses, Luxury immediately stood up from his seat. Divine just rolled her eyes before turning her back to him.

DIVINE:
Wait for me here. Kukunin ko lang mga gamit ko.

LUXURY:
Aye, aye captain!

5 MINS. LATER - LUXURY'S CAR
11:42 PM

DIVINE:
I'm still wondering kung bakit mas pinili mong matulog sa coffee shop kaysa umuwi ng maaga kasama mga kaibigan mo.

LUXURY:
Isn't it obvious, madam?

Luxury asked seriously as his eyes were focused on the road.

DIVINE:
What?

LUXURY:
I'm obviously waiting for you.

DIVINE:
You don't have to.

LUXURY:
I know. But I want to.

DIVINE:
I can handle myself, Luxury.

LUXURY:
I know that.

DIVINE:
And I've been working part-time in the coffee shop for almost 2 years now.

LUXURY:
I also know that . . . But, Divine, accidents sometimes happen unnoticed. And your work time ends this late. It's not safe for you to go home without anyone else with you.

DIVINE:
I don't see any reason for you to stay late at the coffee shop just to wait for my shift to end.

With a gentle smile, Luxury uttered sincerely;

LUXURY:
You may not see any reason why I am doing this . . . But I have, Divine. I have my reason why I am willing to wait for you.
