A.I.S SCHOOL GYMNASIUM - EVENING
9:10 PM
It has been one hour since the reunion party started. Everyone looks lively and cheerful as they have been given the chance to finally meet with their other batch mates. Kung titingnan sa ibang aspekto, parang normal lang ang lahat, but not for Luxury who has been trying his best not to break up from his cell.
PRESCOTT:
Paps, hingang malalim, baka maubusan ka nang hininga diyan.
NICHOLAS:
Paps, baka matunaw 'yan dahil sa init ng titig mo.
LUXURY:
Gawa-gawa na naman kayo ng kwento!
NICHOLAS:
Mama mo kwento.
LUXURY:
Gago.
PRESCOTT:
Pero seryoso, pre, kung gusto mong lapitan, lapitan mo na.
NICHOLAS:
True. Puro ka lang talaga salita, e, 'no?
Luxury didn't bat an eye at his friends' words. He's trying his best to keep his eyes away from her but he always sees himself mesmerized by her beauty. Ever since he saw her entering the entrance earlier, wearing an elegant black dress, he can't get enough of her sight.
LUXURY:
Fuck this.
Luxury whispered to himself as he keep his sanity intact. He badly want to run their distance and fill the longing he had been aching since she left. Gusto niya itong kayakapin. Gusto niya itong pagmasdan sa malapitan.
On the other side, Divine has been trying her best not to look back. From the moment she entered the gymnasium, she knew right away that there was an eye following her.
ADILYNN:
Are you okay?
DIVINE:
Yeah, don't mind me.
ADILYNN:
Are you sure? Parang hindi ka kasi komportable.
DIVINE:
Please don't mind me, Adi. Ayos lang talaga ako.
But the truth behind those words was hiding through the deepest. Because of the familiar warm eyes that's keeping eyeing her, nagwawala ngayon ang kaloob-looban niya. She wanted to run. She wanted to hide from her, and that leads her to no other choice but to excuse herself from her friend.
DIVINE:
Adi, labas muna ako saglit.
ADILYNN:
Samahan na kita?
DIVINE:
'Wag na. Magpapahangin lang naman ako. Babalik din ako kaagad kapag giginawin na ako.
ADILYNN:
Are you sure?
DIVINE:
Yes.
Divine also excuse herself from her other batch mates who happened to share a table with her. Tahimik na tinahak ng babae ang daan sa kung saan. Hindi niya alam kung saang direksyon siya pupunta kaya mas pinili niyang hayaan ang sariling mga paa kung saan. And just like a blink of an eye, she found herself standing in front of the school garden. The garden that used to be their little place.
Divine silently examined the whole place as the light coming from the small Christmas lights serve as her guide. Walang masyadong pinagkaiba ang lugar. Ang tanging nag-iba lang ay ang paglawak ng space at pagrami ng iba't-ibang klase ng bulaklak. Her eyes lastly landed at the small gazebo where it all ended. A longing smile plastered on her lips.
Nang makuntento ang mga mata ay dahan-dahang umikot si Divine para sana talikurang muli ang lugar na naging parte ng kanyang buhay. But when she finally turned her back, hindi niya nagawang itago ang gulat dahil sa bumungad sa kanyang harapan. With his hands placed inside his front pocket, Luxury stood in front of her — 10 steps away from her — firmly.
LUXURY:
Divinity.
DIVINE:
Luxury.
