Chapter 15

Katie POV

"How was your flight? Do you want anything to drink or eat?" Maura asked as she lead me to the living room and we both sat down on the couch. 

"The flight was okay and no I'm good. Thank you. We ate something on the plane" I said and she nodded

"Greg, Denise, and Chris were supposed to come today but I told them to come tomorrow so you guys can settle in" she said and I nodded "How are your family doing? I know your parents passed away a few years ago and I'm sorry for your loss. But I know you have siblings right?" she asked 

"Yes I do. I have an older brother named Lucas he is 30 this year and he has a wife named Jade my little sister is 8 and her name is Amy. Lucas and Jade are pregnant and they are having a baby very soon" I told her as Niall came inside with all of our stuff. He put it by the door and sat beside me and kissed the side of my head. 

"What are you guys talking about it?" Niall asked 

"About her family. She was just telling me her brother's wife is pregnant. Congratulations to them. Are you excited to be an aunt?" Maura asked and I shrugged

"I mean it's going to be the same as taking care of Amy. But, this time I just upgraded to an aunt" I said and they chuckled 

"I think you will be a great aunt. Do you know the gender?" she asked 

"Yeah it's a girl and she will be born on May 10th" I said 

"So she has a big bump now?" she asked 

"Yep. She does" I said 

"I thought everyone was supposed to come today mum" Niall said as he held my hand 

Henry was laying down on the floor by my foot. I think he had a long day of flying because he is sleeping. 

"They were. As I told Katie here. They are coming tomorrow. I just want you guys to settle in." she said and Niall nodded 

"Do you want to unpack?" Niall asked me 

"Yeah" I said 

"We will be back mum" Niall said as we got up 

"Okay. Don't do anything that I wouldn't do in there. By the way, you're room is clean" Maura said and Niall nodded

We went upstairs and Henry was coming up the stairs with me. We went to Niall's room which looks beautiful. He has blue walls with a big bed in front of the room. He has a guitar and the Ireland flag hanging behind his door. He has a desk and a flat-screen tv. He also has a bulletin board with pictures of his family and friends. 

"Do you like my room?" Niall asked as Henry jumped onto his bed and lay down

"Yes I do and looks like Henry likes your bed" I said as I pointed at Henry sleeping on his bed. Niall walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck. 

"Hey Henry. That's my bed. Move out of the way" Niall told Henry. Henry just laid there and didn't listen to Niall "I'm telling you that dog doesn't like me" he said and I giggled 

"He does. He was mopping around while you were gone" I told him 

Niall leaned down to give me a kiss but I got out of his arms before he can. 

"Catch me if you can" I told him

"Oh. It's on" he said as I squealed

I got out of his room and went downstairs. I saw Maura in the kitchen cooking dinner and I went to the kitchen to see her. 

"What are you guys doing?" she asked

"Maura, he is being a bully" I told her and she laughed

"Niall don't bully my future daughter-in-law," she said I blushed and Niall came to the kitchen. 

"I'm not. I was going to kiss her but she ran away from me" he said as he came over and wrapped his arms around me

"Is that true Katie?" Maura asked 

"Maybe" I said 

"Yes it was. I think I deserve that kiss. Thank you very much" he said as he puckered his lips. I giggled and kissed his lips to make him smile "What are you making mum?" Niall asked as he had his arms still around my hips and talked to his mum

"Pasta. Since it's almost dinner time. I thought I should make something" Maura said 

"Do you need help?" I asked her

"No it's okay. You guys can go to the living room. You guys need to relax today." she said and I nodded 

"Okay come on Kate" Niall said 

I squealed as he threw me over his shoulder. 

"Niall" I laughed and he slapped my bum "Niall James" I said 

"Niall you don't hit your girlfriend's bum" Maura said 

"I know but it was right there mum and I had to" Niall said as he carried the living to the living room and threw me on the couch 

"You're a weirdo" I told him as I sat up and he sat beside me 

"I know but you still love me" he said as he pulled me to his lap and wrapped his arms around me 

"Unfortunately I do" I said and he chuckled

"You're stuck with me for the rest of my life" he said 

"Oh geez. I'm in trouble" I told him 

"Yes you are. Very big trouble missy" he said and kissed my cheek "Let's watch something" he said as he grabbed the remote and turned on the tv.
