Chapter 19

The day Jade gives birth

Katie POV

I woke up with someone's phone ringing. I opened my eyes to see it was my phone. It's a call from Lucas. 

"Hello" I said sleepily 

"Hey just want to let you know that Jade is going to give birth soon. We are going to the hospital. Her water broke" he said 

"What?" I asked as I'm wide awake

"Yep. Her water broke. We are going to the hospital. I'm just letting you know. You don't need to come now. You can come later. I know it's early for you" he said 

"I don't care. My sister-in-law is going to give birth and I don't want to miss it. I'll come. I'm going to wake up Niall. I'll see you soon okay" I told him as I got out of the bed

"Okay see you soon. Love you" he said

"Love you too. Bye" I told him 

"Bye" he said then I hung up 

"Niall" I told Niall and shook him. He didn't budge so I just threw a pillow at him and he woke up. 

"Why did you hit me with a pillow?" he asked

"Because Jade is going into labor and Lucas is taking her to the hospital. So wake up" I said 

"She is what now? I thought she is not due for another month" he said as he got up from the bed

"I know me too but Lucas said her water broke. Where are my pants?" I asked frantically 

"Here." Niall said as he handed me my pants "Go get changed in the bathroom then we can leave. We can get breakfast on the way okay" he said 

"Okay" I said 

I grabbed my clothes and went to the bathroom.

"Are you excited?" Niall asked as he is driving to the hospital

"Yes. I'm going to be an aunt in a few hours" I said

It's 9 in the morning and I hate mornings but I'm doing this for Luke and Jade. I got up early for them they should thank me. 

"You're going to be a great aunt. You are already a good sister to Amy. Also, I think you're going to be a great mum" he said 

"Where did that come from?" I asked him and he shrugged

"I don't know. Have just thought about a future with you" he said 

"Really? What kind of future?" I asked him 

"I don't know. First, getting married then have kids with you" he said 

"How many?" I asked him

"How many what?" he asked 

"How many kids do you want?" I asked him 

"I don't know. 2 maybe. One boy and a girl" he said 

"2 is good for me too. If it's 4 I can't handle it. If we have 4 I'll give two to Luke to handle" I said and he laughed

We arrived at the hospital and I got out of the car. Niall got out of the car and came to me. He held my hand as we walked inside the hospital. We walked to the front desk and women looked at us. She gasped when she saw Niall.

"Please don't draw any attention. We just want to see Jade Jackson" Niall told her and she nodded slowly

"Yes she is in room 239" she said
