Time Crunch

It's been a few months now, I've had some follow up appointments to check on me and my babies health. Everything is going good, although I haven't exactly started decorating the baby room yet. I've been talking to Ghost about getting an actual house, our first house, together. He's been nervous about it and a bit avoidant of the topic but I think it has to do with trauma, I haven't said much more but something will need to be done soon. Captain Price has set us on basically hiatus, he says i should just go on retirement but I hate the word to be honest. Ghost hasn't gone this long without being on a mission so it worries me a bit but I feel like he's doing a good job.

I looked at the empty room with the large amazon packages laying around, I haven't even opened anything.

"Babe?"

I turned around as he peeked in the room.

"What are you doing?" He asked

"Just thinking."

"About what?"

He wrapped his arms around my stomach gently.

"I know I brought it up already but I just don't think raising our first child here is a good idea."

"How come?" He asked

"Well, it's a nice place but when everyone visits it gets a bit crowded. I have bunch of ideas in my head that we just don't have room for." I sighed.

"Oh. What do you suggest we do then?"

"As I said before we should get an actual house."

It was silent for a minute as he kissed my neck.

"Okay." He said

"Okay?" I asked

"Let's do it then."

I turned around and looked up at him.

"Are you sure? You can speak your opinion."

"I'm positive babe. I'm not just going with the flow, it's just I'm hesitant about some things because i think more into the future and what's beneficial. I took time thinking about it when we first had the discussion. You're right about the space, and our child needs a true place to call home."

Wow.

I kissed him.

"I love you so much Simon. I truly mean it with my whole heart."

"I love you far more."

Yeah yeah, he knows he's gonna lose.

I chuckled.

I spent the rest of my week searching for houses near us, there were a few interesting ones but nothing truly caught my eye. I was thinking something more simple, maybe modern? I want simple but not basic. Searching is a struggle, I'm not entirely in a rush but there is a time crunch. Our baby shower is coming up fast, my due date is in 5 more months and we don't have a house to settle in yet. It's getting to a more stressful level now but with my family by my side I know I can get through this. I'm excited and I'm far more than ready. I got this, we got this.
