Chapter 8

*2 Weeks later*

Amika's Pov
...

I was getting ready to the restaurant, since today I was opening at 8:30am, since today was Wednesday.

Speaking of the restaurant, it had been doing very well of late, I have so many customers in a day that  now I'm wondering if I should hire an extra person to work at the restaurant when I'm not around

And I was also thinking of adding extra dishes to the menu, like some pasta dishes, foods that you can eat on the go and stuff like that

" Mommy...!!!..." Myra called out breaking my chain of thoughts
"Hey Myra," I lifted her into my arms
"Mommy, guess what.....?"
"What??"
" I can spell my name now" she cheered
" Whatt?, really ..." I asked happily
"I can show you..." she said while grabbing her coloured markers and her pens
She wrote the letter M, a little bit squiggly but you could tell that it was infact that letter
then she started to write letter Y, and it was nearly perfect
and then she wrote letter R, which she had a little bit of difficulty with but she still managed
then she started on the letter A and she did it , my baby did it, I had bern teaching her parts of the alphabet, specifically the ones that spell her name

"Oh my God, I'm so happy that you can now spell your name " I said with tears while kissing her cheeks
" Thank You Mommy," she said while giggling
" Come on, you deserve a treat, let's go" I said
" Yaayyyyyyyyyy..,lemme get my shoes" she said while running to my room
I chuckled

Myra and I had grown alot closer ever since the night she asked me if I could call her Mommy, I know it may sound crazy that she's calling me mommy but I just want her to feel comfortable around me and, even though she isn't my daughter I still love her like one.

Everly was actually very happy about this for some reason, she said that even though Myra doesn't have her mother with her at the moment, she has me which made me really tearfully happy

Lucas hadn't yet woken up to much of our dismay, it has been 2 weeks since he got into the car accident and still no sign of him waking up yet

Myra and I went to visit him last week and I we stayed there for atleast half an hour everyday. She misses her father but she says that if she misses him he won't wake up, so she'll try not to miss him

Everly and I chuckled at that

In the meantime, Everly and Jamie, Lucas's secretary are talking care of his company while he's in a coma

"I'm ready Mommy.." Myra said while running towards the door
" Myra don't run or you might trip.." I said worriedly while running after her
" I'm okay Mommy, I'll be fine.."

Third Person's Pov
...

A man was shown in a hospital bed with an IV drip connected to his wrist, he seemed to be in a very deep slumber when suddenly he started to move and soon he opened his eyes

"Myra.....Myra, where's Myra...." he called out and looked at his surroundings in confusion

A nurse passing by saw him and she looked like she couldn't believe her eyes
"Doctor, Doctor come quickly he's awake..." the nurse cheered

A doctor and 2 nurses walked in through that door and looked at him
" Check his Vitals..." the doctor instructed them
A Nurse offered him water but he gently pushed her away
" I don't want anything.....I just want to see my daughter and where the hell am I " he said while ripping the IV drip off of his hand

" Sir, you've been in a coma for 2 weeks, you need to take it easy," The Doctor tried to stop him
" Get out of my way, I need to see her, I really need to see her" he said while pushing the doctors away and running out of the room
" Guards, don't let him get out of the hospital" a doctor was heard shouting
