Chapter 20

Amika's Pov
...
A month later...

We were finally leaving Lucas's parent's house after a whole month, which we didn't plan for at all. I went shopping with Loren and Lena for more clothes, with my own money of course

They had already spoiled mere stranger too much. Lucas and I had grown closer ever since our relationship went to the next step and honestly I was really happy

I just wondered how we were going to tell Myra....that her father and I were in a relationship

Over the past month, I'd grown closer to Lucas's family and I'd been communicating with the lady that brought my car, Tara and we've been talking alot, we have nearly the same intrests.....

From here, we were going to stay for atleast a day at Lucas's vacation home, then fly back to our city...

"And you should call ....since my son can't remember something so simple.." Courtney reminded me

I chucked while Lucas frowned
"Mom, you tell me a lot of things, I can't always keep up...."
"It's not that hard....and besides you have Amika to help you now..."She said while looking at both of us suggestively

Well....it was no secret to anyone anymore that Lucas and I were in a relationship, we just needed to figure out how to tell Myra about it annd consider how she'd take the news

We said our goodbyes and got into the car, this time I was in the backseat with Myra watching Cinderella
"Mommy....?"
"Yes love..."
"Will I get a prince I can dance with one day....?" she cutely asked

Lucas who was drinking water choked and started coughing. Oh boy, how am I going to answer this question....

"What prince, no boy will come a 100 metres near my daughter...and I will make sure that happens, "Lucas grumbled

"Well mellow, when you get older like mommy and daddy, you will find somebody who you like very very much....then you can dance with him....," I said

" Like a prince?...,"
"Like a prince....."

We continued to watch the film as time went by, we watched more and more films till Myra fell asleep. We stopped by a gas station because I needed to use the bathroom

Or atleast that is what I told Lucas....I actually felt like I'd peed myself a teensy little bit....

Yep...the code red feeling

I went to the bathroom and checked myself and my fears were confirmed.... I'd missed it last month so....it was expected I guess

But normally, I get cramps atleast a day or two before...and most importantly .....so nothing was making sense and also.....it wasn't like a period, they were just little spots of red

Maybe it's just a once in a while thing....

The gas station had tampon and pad dispensers.....thank god.... because I left my purse which had them in the car... I checked  if I had stained myself and luckily I hadn't. Plus I was wearing something dark-ish

I got out of the bathroom and went to the car where I found Lucas with Myra in his lap...
"Hey...you're back..." he said
" Yeah....she woke up.?.."I asked while getting into the front seat
" Yeah she woke up, so I had to put one of the cartoons she likes alot on my phone since I can't find her tablet, then she fell right back asleep after 5 minutes...." He explained

"Let me put her in the backseat...."
" Sure..."

I laid Myra on the backseat and covered her with the little blanket that we'd carried for her from Lucas's house
