Chapter 14

Lucas's Pov
...

I was finally done showering and I had managed to get out all the flour from my hair after many difficulties.

I felt so much happier nowadays, especially with Amika with Myra and I...the thought of her made me smile

I was about to back to the kitchen when I received a call
"Hey Ev..how are you..." I said
" Great for me but not great for you Lucas..."
"What do you mean..?"
"Remember that time, you told me you saw a woman and your head hurt after seeing her.."
"Yes...?"
"Well, you also said you had a name in your mind, Clara..."
"Well Lucas, Clara was the last nanny that Myra had..."
"But why would she try to harm Amika., I don't remember doing anything to her.."
"Try to think and remember anything you might have said to her that day..."

Even though my memory had gone back 2 years, I could still remember some recent events prior my accident according to my doctor

Some images started to form in my head and soon I could remember part of what happened
"Myra and Clara had gone out somewhere.....then when Myra went missing, Clara was in the hospital with some woman...." I strained trying to force the image to come back in my head
"Don't force it Lucas, as long as you remember the important details" Everly adviced
"I know but she just seems....sort of important...."
"Lucas when you're a business person, a lot of people are involved..."

My stomach grumbled and that is when I remembered that I had ordered food for two hungry ladies in the house

"Thanks Everly for the information, I'll get back to you later, I've got something to attend to..."
"Could it be Amika..?.." she said playfully

I cut the call and went to check if our food had arrived

The food was finally here and honestly the smell made me ten times hungrier than I already was

Okay, Okay I might be exaggerating but you get the point

I didn't really know what to order so I went random, tacos, burgers, pizza,rice bowls,fried chicken....I think I might've gone a bit overboard with the food. But we'll finish it

Myra and Amika came out of the room both in the matching pyjamas I got them. They both seemed to see the food they immediately rushed here
"Yayyyyy, foood..."Myra said while sneaking in a piece of pepparoni from the pizza at the same time some fries..
"Myra slow down, or you might choke...."Amika said while chuckling
"I didn't think you'd order so much food, I mean we're just three, we won't even finish half of this Lucas..."Amika said while taking a piece of chicken in her mouth
"Don't worry, we'll finish it, over a course of time..."
"Well we do need to balance it, don't want to go back home looking like a whale.." she said jokingly
"You..looking like a whale..pshh, you look so tiny already, I bet you're not even 50 kilograms.."
"55kilograms.."
"You have a restaurant and you're so skinny, clearly you're not taking care of yourself well enough..."
"Lucas..."
"I'm serious, from now on, I'll be taking care of you..."
"What?.... Lucas I'm fine-..."
"Nope, you fainted and you're underweight, and besides, you probably have worried your parents-..."
"I haven't....." she said sadly

I was about to ask her what she meant when suddenly Myra got out attention
"Mommy, Daddy, can we eat now.... I'm so hungryy...." she whined
"Sorry Myra, come on and let's pick out what you want to eat..."
