Myra All Mine

Chapter 12

Amika's Pov
...
I was finally done making breakfast, I looked at my work and honestly I was proud of what I had done

Pancakes, fruit bowls, waffles, scrambled Eggs, toast, squeezed orange juice, bacon, sandwiches etc etc

It honestly smelt amazing, but first I need to shower, when I was about to exit the kitchen, I accidentally bumped into a hard but yet muscular chest, to prevent the events of yestarday repeating itself

I immediately balanced myself
"Oh Hey Amika, Good Morning.."
He said with a smile
" Hey Lucas, Good Morning to you too as well.." I equally returned the smile
"Sorry about that, I'm just used to the kitchen being empty on the weekends, unless otherwise.." He said
"It's no big deal , honestly.." I said
" What smells so good in here, "he suddenly while subtly sniffing the air
" My little thank you for a certain thank you, you gave me that day.."I said

Lucas looked confused, the amused and then he smiled" Well normally, I don't like people repaying favours to me if I don't want them to.., but since it's food, I'm all in, give as many thanks as you like, as long as the food keeps coming in.." He said with a piece of toast in his mouth

I chuckled."What did I tell you yesterday, Mr Neviera...." I said while raising one of my eyebrows. His face looked confused then his face seemed to have some sort of look as though he remembered something. When he was done eating that slice of toast he said " Sorry, I forgot about that..." while scratching the back of his head awkwardly

"Where's Myra.." I asked
" She's still asleep, she's definitely a night owl.."
" Ooh, just like me then, that's why we're besties..." I said with a winning voice
" Ah, no fair, my daughter can't just abandon me like that.." he said while eating a strip of bacon

I slapped his hand off of it
"Oww, what was that for..." he said while rubbing his arm
" Sorry, but you have to plate your food first, at this rate you're going to finish all of our breakfast..."
" I guess.." he said while frowning but then sneaking a piece of bacon thinking I wouldn't notice

Ah men. I just smiled and went to shower
...

I had showered for about 30 minutes, which is kinda long for me. But when it comes to baths, I could a whole freaking day just to that and it does make me feel lazy which is why I choose a specific day when I would have a bath

I was going to get the rest of my stuff from my place since we weren't going to be in this town, as it was too dangerous for us at the moment. The restaurant also needed my attention for the last few days we were going to be for while

I chose a simple outfit that wouldn't get me too hot since it was a little sunny outside.

Hmm..I looked good

As I was about to leave my room I was crashed into by a little ball of energy,
"Mommy, Mommy, those pancakes were so yummy..."she said frantically
" Well good morning to you to..." I said while giggling
" Where are you going..?" she asked looking at the colours of my lip glosses
"I'm going to check up on my house and the restaurant..-" I was cut off
" And we are going to get a few things ready for our trip.., aren't we Myra..." Lucas said while looking directly at me

I wanted to thank Lucas so bad right now...as much as I wanted to spend time with Myra, I needed to go alone and it might not be safe enough for Myra

"Okay..."
"Now go and pick out what colour dress you want to wear.." He said
" Okayyyy..." she said excitedly while running out of the door

" I don't know how I'd be able to thank you  ...for that, I don't know how I'd be able to tell Myra she can't go with me, especially since...recent events..." I said with a small smile
" It's no big deal and honestly Myra and I need to catch up on some father-daughter time..." he said
" You know, if you wanted I could send some security with you just incase any thing might happen.."
"No,no,no...I want to go alone and don't worry I'll be just fine..."
" But.."
" No buts, I'm going to be fine, I'll only spend about 3 hours there, then I'll be back by like 12am..."
"Fine, but if you're even a few minutes late, I'm going to come and get you..." He said with a worried and stern face
" Okay Okay....
" Well, you said that you didn't know how to thank me for helping you just now....the thing is that I might have a few ideas in mind..." He said with a smirk and a sly grin
