Rishi's POV:-

"WHAT?!" Everyone exclaimed, shock etched on their faces.

"Oh God! Don't over exaggerate Guys!" Geet exclaimed. Ye pura ka pura group hi aise react kar raha hai jaise Geet kisi jaanwar se shaadi kar rahi hai.

"Ye kaise hua?? Tu shaadi karegi pata tha, par isse?!" Ekansh questioned.

"What do you mean by isse? He's not that bad." Geet said.

Hain?! He's not that bad matlab?! Mujhe sachmai jaanwar samajhte hai kya ye log?!

"Geet yaar, dhoka diya tune mujhe. Aapna pact tha na, 30 saal Tak agar kisise bhi shaadi nahi Hui to hum dono shaadi kar lenge! Kyu Kiya aiseeeee?! Ab mai kisse shaadi karu??" Amey chimed in.

Iss Sajjan ki kya takleef hai? Iski koi shaadi karado please! Army mai hai isliye respect kar raha hu mai, varna kabka muh Tod deta Iska. Phone pe bhi flirting, yaha bhi. Kaam nahi kya isse kuch?!

"Chup kar oyee! Maine koi aise pact wact nahi banaya tha. I did not agree to that!!" Geet yelled at him.

Ye baat, sherni!! Bata usko! Tumhare mangetar ke samne he's flirting with you!! Chi chi!!! Disgusting!

"OMG! You wound me Geet. I got hurt by your words more than I got injured in the camp!! I won't ever forget this!!" Amey cried, wiping his imaginary tears.

But why am I even feeling jealous about this? There might've been something going on between them. Who cares? This is anyways an arranged marriage.

'Because she's you fiancée, you idiot! Of course you will feel jealous if someone flirts with her.' My subconscious mocked me.

Mann karta hai kabhi kabhi apne subconscious mind ka muh tod du, bich bich mai bohot bolta hai ye!

"Amey, Chup kar! Tere ye sab nakhre to badmei karle. Geetu, tu pehle ye bata, ye sab hua kaise?? Ye tujhe blackmail kar raha hai kya?? Aisa hai to mai isko jinda nahi chodunga!!" Ekansh interrupted.

Are bapre, mai to Darr Gaya! Kaisa aadmi hai. Ittusi dhamki se chiti bhi nahi darti!! Hahahahah!

"Anshhhh, ye mujhe blackmail nahi kar rahe hai. Families ne humari shaadi pakki kar li hai. And this is not some business deal, ki agar samne wala blackmail kar raha ho to uska muh todke deal break karo. This is a marriage for fuck's sake. Roka ho chuka hai, relatives ko shaadi ka invite bhi Gaya hoga shayad. Dadi jis speed se sabko call kar karke bata rahi hai, usse to mujhe lagta hai mere sab relatives Ghar mai padhare bhi honge. Sab itne jaldi jaldi ho gaya ki sochne ka time hi nahi mila. And Rishi ko bhi family pressure Mai aake ha bolna pada hai. And abhi hum ye rishta todke humare family ko dukhana nahi chahte. Sab log excited hai bohot jyada." Geet said, sighing and putting her head in her hands.

It felt bad to see her like this. We've know each other since we were kids and I always saw her bouncing with joy around the house. I never saw her cry unless that one time when her brother fell. She's very protective of her elder brother, Rajat. He fell while playing and got hurt severely. She was crying non-stop till Rajat finally calmed her down telling her that he was okay.

"Geet, how are you holding up? Do you need something? We are here for you." Sharanya said, hugging her crouched figure.

"I am fine, Sharu. I am just thinking how I am going to adjust to this new change. I mean, I was happy with how my life was before. I used to go to the firm, get my work done, handle the cases, come back home and rest. I only had to fulfill my duties in the firm. After coming home I was just a princess living her fancy life. Now I will have to fulfill the duties of a wife, a daughter-in-law. And I don't know how I am going to handle those. I won't have Papa, Chachu or Bhai around me all the time, fulfilling my each and every wish. I won't be able to get out of the house any time I want to. I will have people to look after. I know his family isn't typical, thinking that a daughter-in-law should fulfill all her duties and not work. They won't stop me from doing my job. But, I know, that somewhere it is my own duty to actually look after his family. I know I won't be forced to do any work in his house. Par mera bhi koi farz banta hai na!" Geet said, looking up at Sharanya.
