The pair quickly returned to the village of Sirius to continue selling goods but they are immediately hailed as divine beings the moment they arrived.
"We are truly blessed we have a god and a goddess protecting us!"Matthew kneeled before the pair.
"Wait I am not a god.I am just a simple kryptonian"Rul said
"Well you do possess the power of one."Lila said
"Great divine beings from the heavens!I know that it is outrageous of me to ask as a puny mortal but please may you two great ones please act as adventurers for the village for the time being!We beg of you please."Matthew kneel
"I know that it is simply outrageous for immortals to act as adventurers for our village but all of our adventurers are dead or missing!"Matthew begged
"We need your help to defend the village from attacks!There are wild animals, bandits and beasts that lurk beyond the village."Anna begged
"Your divine wrath has massacred the fell races and bandits that attacked us but there are still other things out there with harmful intentions towards us!"Matthew said
"Are there not enough people in the village to become adventurers?"Lila asked
"Those able bodied to be counted among the ranks as adventurers are dead and our most powerful adventurer Jones has gone missing."Matthew said
"If we become adventurers then we will start at the bottom rank and can only do a limited amount of quests."Rul said
"I can give you two rank S adventurer status immediately considering that the both of you killed millions of fell races so easily!My rank as an adventurer administrator of this village may allow me to tweak the rules a little!"Anna said
"But that will leave you open for reprisal from the capital."Rul replied
"I can give the reason that we are desperate for the moment.I am sure the officials at the capital can accept."Anna said
"I don't think the officials will accept that as a reason."Lila said
"Agreed we don't want this village to be destroyed by the elites at the capital who may have a grudge against us."Rul said
"If you can't act as adventurers for us then we are dead!The military ain't here!We are basically in a piece of lawless land undefended!25% of the village inhabitants are dead before you two rescued us from the fell races!We are lamps waiting for the slaughter! Please just act as adventurers for us for the time being!"Anna begged
"Rul we should not become adventurers as the capital will use this as a reason to burn the village to the ground as the officials there have a grudge against you."Lila whispered to Rul
"I know.That is why we ain't becoming adventurers.This is done to protect them.You know something?I don't think the biggest threat to the world is the fell races.It is actually the king and his cronies that it."Rul whispered back to Lila
"So what are we going to do then? Abandon the village to its fate of being destroyed?"Lila whispered to Rul
"No.We are going to eliminate the threats facing the village but we have to make it clear we are not becoming adventurers to not give the officials at the capital to come up with a reason to burn this village down."Rul whispered to Lila
Lila nodded her head in agreement with Rul.
"No me and Lila here won't become adventurers."Rul said
The villages looked on in despair like the divine has abandoned the village to its doom.
