Chapter 4 A Special Birthday

Michelle's POV: 

*****two weeks later*****

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEE-*

I opened my eyes and turned off the alarm from my phone, I had a reminder that it was my birthday. Man I'm already 19 years old! I checked on my instagram, and facebook on my birthday greetings, there were so much!! But I never saw Finn greeting me at all, in fact we never even talked for a week now, is he mad at me?

I got out my bed and saw post its on the floor it was like a scavenger hunt, I figuered. It was pointing to go downstairs. When I went down stairs, there was a piece of paper that had a drawn arrow, it was pointing to the kitchen, when i walked in the kitchen , my whole facial expression changed, on the counter there was a gigantic cake, it had an ugly picture of me, of course I laughed, I looked around, if my mom was hiding, I looked down while taking my finger filled with icing and licking it, i saw another post it, it said:

Dear my 19 year old daughter,

Happy birthday! Anyways I'm at work.. I figuered you would be bored so I gave you $500 to shop for some new clothes, be home back at 6 pm.

I rolled my eyes, typical mom. But hey anyways i have $500 to shop for new clothes! I dressed up, wearing my favorite white giselle top (brandy melville), my large tan-ish knitted cardigan, my blue skinny jeans ,and my white knock off keds, I put some makeup but not too much, I left my hair just wavy since iI was in a hurry, it was already 2 pm!! I got into the car and drove off to the mall.

*****four hours later****** 

I had finished all my shopping, I had so much clothes by now, but while I was shopping I kept on thinking of Finn. "Michelle snap out of it, its not worth it anymore, stop thinking about him!" 

**BUZZ** **BUZZ** **BUZZ**

I grabbed my phone, I expected it to be Finn, as I looked at the person who texted me, it was mom, I sighed, I read the text and it said:

Hey sweetie! I'm at home, I have a surprise for you ;) love mom xox

I drove back home, I was wondering what was the surprise was from my mom. I parked my car beside sidewalk and grabbed my shopping bags, 

**RING** **RING** **RING** 

It was Finn!!! I answered "Hello"

"Hey love, umm listen, when I first talked to you, *I stepped up onto the porch* I was happy, I just want to tell you, * I grabbed my keys* that I really like *I unlocked the door, and opened it* you"

My facial expression dropped to shock and I immediately dropped all my bags.
