He said I was annoying, yet I only wanted his time

"Alvaro,"

He hadn't even spared me a glance, eyes glued to his phone. He hadn't heard, I tried to convince myself. But deep down I knew he did.

With a deep sigh I tried again.

"Alvaro,"

This time his eyebrows pinched together and his lips dipped to form a frown. Of course he heard, but whomever he was texting was clearly more important. Folding my arms across my chest, I glared at him.

"Alvaro, I know you're hearing me," I snapped and,at this, he rolled his eyes.

"What do you want Tara?" He questioned with his eyes still glued to his phone and fingers tapping rapidly against the screen

"I want you to stop ignoring me,"

"And I want you to stop being annoying," he retorted, looking over at me. "But we can't all get what we want, can we?"

I kept my face passive as I met his heated gaze. It stung a little, but I tried to keep my face void of any hint that would give it away.

"I'm tired of this," I muttered before walking away with shoulders slumped. He went back to texting.

But all his time was for her
