Before I was sent home, Corey and Luke were speaking to me outside the building

"I don't understand. Who do you think you are, fighting in school?" Corey spoke to me like I was a child

I shrugged "She really got to me, she started it so I finished it"

"You need to sort yourself out. Just wait until Brandon and Elliott find out about this" Corey warned

I nodded "Ok, don't worry, my bruised eye and scratched face don't hurt at all, thanks for asking" I replied sarcastically

"Just go home and stay out of any trouble" Luke snapped "When we get home we want the truth from you. No more lying"

Swinging my bag on my shoulder, I made the long journey home, walking away from the trouble and hoping they would understand my perspective

My phone began to ring, I saw it was Matt so I decided to answer

"What have you done?" he hissed down the phone

A tear rolled down my cheek "Please let me explain"

"No, no I won't! Abbie told me what happened, she said you went for her first and began fighting with her" his words hit me like a ton of bricks

"She said you two kissed" I spoke through the tears, trying to not make any indication I was crying "Did you kiss her?"

I heard Matt groan, which I guessed told me the answer

"So what if we did kiss? You were giving me weird vibes" he answered

My heart sank "You're supposed to be my boyfriend"

Instead of waiting for an answer, I hung up and shoved my phone in my pocket. Abbie was telling the truth, but she wasn't telling me it to warn me , she was telling me to have a dig at me. She won I guess

I knew I should really have gone home, but I wasn't feeling it. I made my way towards the little corner shop, where I managed to purchase some cigarettes and a lighter. The guy didn't ID me, which I wasnt going to argue about

Lighting the cigarette, I began to smoke, each time I exhaled the smoke, it was like all the badness and negativity was escaping me. By this point, I had stopped crying, I felt so done with everything. The marks from the fight, such as my eye and scratched face were stinging, I didn't have anything to take the physical pain away, only the cigarettes to help with the emotional pain

"Can I use your lighter?" a voice asked behind me

I jumped and turned around to see a tall man, resembling my father in his physical features

"Oh, umm, sure" I stammered, handing over the lighter and watching as he lit his own cigarette

"You look a little young to be smoking" he commented

I glared at him as if to say leave me alone, but instead I just replied "I'm nearly 18"

He raised an eyebrow as he exhaled some smoke "If I found my daughter smoking at 17 she'd be in trouble"

"Good job I'm not your daughter then" I huffed, walking away from the guy and further away from home

Having a smoke relaxed me, I felt all my worries go away, but once the cigarette was out, they all came rushing back to me

Left alone in the city to walk and think to myself with no distuptions was painful. I had disappointed my brothers whilst trying to defend myself. I knew Brandon thought there was something suspicious about Matt, and in my mind I semi-agreed with him, but when you love someone, you don't want to think that they're a bad person or they will cheat; you simply see the good and the good only

It was still only early, about 11am by now. Nobody would be home, but I didn't want to go there

As I carried on walking, I realised I was coming towards the lake, which around this time (summer), it's a gorgeous view. There's a large footpath surrounding the lake, with green space, benches and a small cafe which goes a few meters into the lake, giving good views

I made the decision to walk slowly around, there were a few people in the cafe and on the benches, but I was just walking alone

Luke

I'm absolutely fuming. I don't know who Alexa thinks she is, fighting and bringing shame on herself. Corey is equally annoyed, he's going to ring Elliott and Brandon at lunch to explain what's happened. I'm so embarrassed to have witnessed my little sister fighting

I decided the only way to de-stress would be to have a cigarette. Since I was on a free hour, I went to the smoking area of college to have some time to myself

"Did you hear, Alexa Wilson and Abbie had a fight" I heard two boys in Alexa's year speak

"Apparently that Abbie deserved it, she was saying stuff to Alexa though" the other kid replied

I ignored their conversation and lit my cigarette, inhaling and then exhaling. I felt relaxed, being on my own and having a smike

Once I came to the end of the cigarette, I crushed it out with my foot and made my way back into college, where I bumped into Corey

"I rang the guys to let them know about Alexa" he mentioned "Brandon's fuming"

Running my fingers through my hair from the anger, I wanted Alexa to know that what she has done is wrong and we're all annoyed with her. She's old enough now to understand she can't be fighting in school

"It doesn't surprise me, she's so stupid sometimes"
