Chapter 3

Alexa Pov *Flashback*

"Alexa." Hetty called

"Yes?" I said as we went into a secluded corner

"Our next case involves someone who has a vendetta against you." Hetty said

"Who?" I asked

"Memo." Hetty said, "He's in LA. He killed a Sargent which is why we are taking this case."

"Am I being taken off the case?" I asked

"You are on this case but we both know he will try and take you out. We are gonna put a bullet proof vest on you along with a couple of blood bags. If we are gonna make Memo think your dead we have to make the team think that to. When you get shot prick your finger with this." She says handing me a finger pricker

"What's in it?" I asked

"A drug that will make you look and seem dead but you will come back within 20 minutes." She explained

"Now time for you guys to go to Ops."

Present *They are at a secret location*

Alexa Pov

I groan awake and I hear Hetty talking to me.

"Ms.Deeks." She said

"Did we do it?" I ask taking off my bullet-proof vest along with the busted blood bags

"Yes. Memo left us another message." Hetty said handing me a tablet and a video played

"NCIS, I warned you. Now taking out Alexa was a statement and also a personal vendetta. Now Agent Callen and Detective Deeks, will you be as foolish as to avenge her death or do what she should have done. Walk away. Had she done that she would probably still be alive right now. NCIS don't make the mistake of trying to get to me because now you lost the only agent who ever could." Memo said and the video ended

"How did Callen and Deeks take that?" I asked

"Let's just say they are ready to start World War 3." Hetty said taking back the tablet and handing me a shirt

I chuckled and got changed into the clean shirt and asked "How long do I have to lay low?"

"Until the team takes down Memo. I will call you when they are going after him." Hetty said

"Where am I gonna be staying?" I asked "I live with Callen so I can't go home."

"You will be staying at my house out in Santa Monica." She said handing me a bag "I took the liberty of gathering you some clothes and essentials."

I took the back and asked "Do I even want to ask how you got into my house?"

Hetty smiled and shook her head.

"Well I better get going." I said

"There is a car out front for you to drive." Hetty said handing me keys

I took the keys and headed to the car. I put my bag in the back and started the car and headed for Hetty's place.

Few Days Later

I was just sitting around when my phone rang.

"Hello?" I said

"It's time." Hetty said

"Where?" I asked sitting up

"4585 Crest Drive. It's an abandoned building. Use your advantage of knowing Memo." Hetty says

"I'm on my way." I said hanging up

I got changed and grabbed my gun.

 I got into my car and sped to the address. I get there and I can already hear shooting and yelling.

"He's getting out the back!" I heard Sam shout, "He'll get away!"

I run to the back of the building and wait for Memo with my gun pointed. Memo comes running out but stops when he sees me.

"Why hello Memo. Nice to see you again." I said

"You're dead." Memo said

"Oh I'm pretty alive, now on your knees." I said

He aims his gun at me.

"Did you really think it would be that easy?" He asked

"Oh I know it will be. You don't surrender right now, you will never see your daughter again." I said

His face dropped and he was left with a choice. Shoot me or surrender.

"What will it be, Memo?" I asked

He sighed, put his gun down, kicked it to me and got on his knees.

"Good choice." I said cuffing him

I walk with him to the front of the building and we wait for my team but I gave Memo to an officer that was here with the team. Kensi was the first one to come out and noticed me. She runs up to me and hugs me.

"How are you here?." She said and then she realized, "It was staged."

"Oh yea. It was our one sure way knowing Memo was gonna let his guard down. I already arrested him and gave him to an officer." I said

"Where are the others?" I asked noticing the rest of the team hadn't came out

"They are in the back of the building, they are searching for Memo. They think he got away, that's why they sent me out here, to tell the officers to go drive around. You know Callen and Deeks acted like the were ready to start World War 3?" Kensi said

"I had a feeling." I said "Now you mind telling them to come out here?"

"Not at all, they will be happy to see you." Kensi says, "Guys come up front, we got him."

"How?" I heard Sam ask

"An officer saw him and grabbed him." Kensi lied

"Ms. Deeks, I need you to sign this." An officer said

"Okay." I said turning around to sign the paper

"Who is that?" I heard Deeks ask

"Alexa, come say hi to the boys." Kensi shouts

I smile and turn around. The guys look shocked.

"Man it feels good to be back from the dead." I said, "What? Miss me?"
