There is art in every bit of you
so I'll write novels about you
about the effect you have on me
about the way the sun
catches your skin when
you stand by the window
about the sweet sound
of your voice
about the silky honey
of your laugh
I'll write about
the curve of your waist
through your favorite night dress
i'll write about the colour
of your eyes
and how they pull me
into unexplored depths
your beauty cannot be measured
by a simple photograph
the pictures I will take
will not remind me of the smoothness of your skin
or how your lips taste like against mine
instead, I'll write poetry about you
but even then
i will not really get close to the truth.
