"Dad?" I cried as I ran Into his arms.
My dad & mom divorced when I was 12 but they always got along & stuff. My dad went into the military & I hadn't seen him since my 15th birthday. I was turning 18 in 4 days. I never cried so hard in my life. My mom sisters and step dad came up to my room and smiled. My sisters & I engulfed my dad In hugs. After about 10 minutes we all went into my kitchen. My family was still acting weird. The doorbell rang and I was surprised to see cameron standing there. He saw my dad & started crying so hard. I couldn't stop hugging cameron and my dad. I missed them both so much.

"Why did you guys bring them both here?" I asked smiling.
"It's your last days being a kid, a 17 year old!plus you went through a lot lately. " My mom said hugging me. My sisters cameron & my actual dad were being normal but my step dad & mom wouldn't stop smiling & acting strange.
"So ash how's Sammy?" Cam asked.
I was still upset that he was asking someone else to prom but that was okay. Sammy's just kinda like that. I thought he was different but... I thought.
"Weird he just texted me." I laughed.
"What did he say?" My step dad asked.
"He wants to know if he left his hat downstairs." I said reading the text.
"Go check then." My mom laughed.

I walked downstairs.
"Mom the light is out." I yelled.
The lights flashed on & Sammy was standing by the pool table with flowers & a sign that said "prom?"
I screamed before running up to him & kissing him.
He pulled away & looked at me. "So is that a yes?" He laughed.
"Yes yes yes yes yes yes!" I yelled.
I hugged him & I never wanted to let go.
"Did you meet my dad?" I asked.
"Bret? I've been here a million times Ashley." He said while looking into my eyes.
"No, my dad came home." I said smiling.
"Oh my god Ashley!" He yelled smiling & hugging me.
I was crying still from Sammy asking me to prom.
"C'mon, Sam." I said & leading him upstairs.

My mom saw my face, "oh good you found your last surprise." My mom laughed.
I ran up to her & hugged her & my step dad. My sisters were grinning.
"Why are you screaming Ashley oh my God." Cameron said while coming out of the bathroom. He saw Sammy & they hugged. I laughed.
"Uhm dad... This is Sammy." I said.
They shook hands & Sammy looked like he was about to crap his pants. They went on my patio & talked for awhile. I was so scared. My dad always hated Jordan & sierras boyfriends. After about 15 minutes they came in laughing. We were all talking in the family room for awhile then it was quiet & we all were occupied by something.

"hey Sam if you want to take Ashely out tonight it's fine." My dad said.
I looked up at him shocked. He nodded.
"Are you sure oh my God thank you sir."
"Want to Ashley?" He turned & smiled at me.
"Yeah," I said while smiling.
"Sam come play basketball while she goes get ready or whatever she does." Cam said. They walked outside to go play.

I went upstairs & put on a casual dress. I was brushing my hair when my dad came in. He was just staring at me.

"what?" I asked.
"You grew up." He said.
"What?" I asked confused.
"When I left you had brown hair, the only guy you talked about was justin bieber, you rode your bike everywhere.." He laughed.
"I missed you dad." I said.
"I missed you all too. It's good to know you have people looking out for you." He said smiling.
"Yeah cams always there." I said.
"Yeah cams your big brother. But Sammy, he's a good guy." He said smiling.
"Wow you like one of our boyfriends, that's a first." I laughed.
"Well Sammy told me something I wouldn't really expect." He said nodding.
"What did he tell you?" I asked confused.
"He told me how he loves you." My dad said.
