A few days later, we get ready for the rest of the Ball family to come over.

Everyone includes Tina, Lavar, Izzy, Lonzo, DMO, and Denise.

I'm very nervous to see Lavar because I know he is going to be very, very, very very, angry at both me and LaMelo.

I put on a baggy BBB shirt and some black leggings.

LaMelo grabs his uniform and everything he needs for the game.

There is a knock on the door and my heart skips a beat.

"I've got it," LiAngelo says.

I hear the front door open and then I hear Lavar talking hella loud, as usual.

I look at LaMelo and he smiles at me.

"I'm nervous," I say to him.

"Don't be nervous, I'll be right by your side." He kisses my cheek.

We walk into the living room and I suck in my stomach.

Everyone is gathered in the living room and I feel eyes on me.

"Joslyn?" Lonzo says.

Lavar turns around and then he spots me.

"What's she doing here?" Lavar asked.

"She didn't wanna waste the plane ticket we had got her." LaMelo says

"Is it me or is something off about her?" Denise asked.

I glare at her.

I don't know why, I do not like Denise. She just gives me bad vibes.

Lavar looks at me and then back at LaMelo.

"You two are going to talk to me after this basketball game," Lavar points and LaMelo and I.

After the game, LaMelo and I walk to his room to talk with his dad.

"So, how long has she been here?" Lavar asked.

"I've been here for a while," I reply.

"How long is a while?"

"A while is a while!" LaMelo responds for me.

"Are you dating or are you gonna tell me you're just friends?"

"Well I don't wanna lie, so, yes we are dating." LaMelo says.

Lavar groans.

"Look, Lavar. I do not know what you don't like about me or why you don't like me, but I've done nothing to you. I haven't done anything to make you dislike me!" I start to say.

"I know LaMelo's your youngest son, maybe this isn't about me at all. Maybe this is about you not being able to let your baby boy grow up!"

Lavar looks at me with an eyebrow raised.

"It's not about that." Lavar says.

"Then what is it?" LaMelo asked.

Lavar stays quiet.
