Cassidy and Camille made their way down the street as the wind blew making them clench into their jackets

"It's way to cold to be walking out here" Cassidy said pulling her keys out of her jacket unlocking her door as they got in

"Tell me about it , I almost came out the house with 4 big coats on"

Cassidy decided to text Camille and meet up with her to hang out , Cassidy didn't really have friends for whatever meeting so she thought chilling with Camille would be cool

"I'm glad you decided to get to know me , I've been down here for a whole year on my own and haven't even made a single friend "

"I know I should've spoken up sooner but I was just so busy"

"I understand" she said snapping a picture before posting it on instagram

"What we doing today anyway" Camille asked

"I was thinking maybe we go to the mall afterwords go to eat or something"

"OK cool"

It's 30 minute to get to the mall as soon as they got there they went  straight to forever 21

"See this is why I hate shopping in the mall I can never find nothing, this why I always order offline" Cassidy said looking through the racks at nothing she like

"Right lets go to the food court instead of going out to eat" Camille suggested since they were already here

"That's fine with me" Cassidy said as they made their way up to the food court

Deciding she wanted Chinese she went over and got into the line

As she was looking at the menu someone bumped into her making her stumble

Looking up she noticed it was some girl she never saw before "oops my bad" the girl said Not really caring rolling her eyes at Cassidy

"Yeah your bad" Cassidy said giving her the same attitude back as she went back to looking at her menu

Scoffing the girl crossed her arms over her chest "you got something you wanna say? If you do speak up"

Scrunching her face up Cassidy looked at her like she was stupid "I'm sorry but did I not just say it loud as day"

"Girl fuck you and tell Dave I said text me back" the girl laughed and walked away

Cassidy didn't let that mess with her at all her and Dave was good and some little comment from a unknown wasn't gonna shake them

"Hey can I get the number 6 with shrimp and chicken"

"It'll be About 10 minutes" the man said giving her a ticket with her number on it

Sending a small smile she sat down until her food was done

Her phone wrong as Dave FaceTimed her

Sliding across her phone she answered it

"Yo where you at" he spoke through the phone trying to figure out her location

"I'm at the mall why"

"Look I need you to get out of there and don't go to your house ight?" He said in a hurry sitting his phone in the cup holder

"Why? What's going on? Where am I supposed to go?" She rambled on signaling for Camille to come on

"I'm going to stay here I'm meeting up with a friend" Camille said as Cassidy nodded her head still on the phone

"Go to my crib ight? When you get there go to the basement and stay there! Don't answer the door for nobody not even me"

Jumping in her car she speed to his house
"What!?" She said confused on the fact that he said don't open the door for him

"I gotta go, be safe baby I love you remember that" he said not even giving her the time to reply

Even though she didn't know what was going on she was still scared at this point she felt like he was about to die and she couldn't let that happen

Deciding not to park in his driveway she parked on the next block and walked to his house

As soon as she got their she went inside and locked all the doors turning off all the lights and shutting the curtains to the windows

She grabbed a couple of knives from the kitchen and went into his room going in his dresser to get a gun

She needed to protect herself Incase anything happened

Making sure it was loaded she went to the basement like he said and hid in a corner

An hour went by and nothing was yet to happen she didn't know how long to stay down their so she didn't leave

Soon two hours went by followed by three standing up she creeped up the stairs making sure it was clear

Just as she was about to make her way to the bathroom she heard something at the back door "fuck" she whispered tip toeing to the bathroom as she heard voices from the other side of the door

Once she got to the bathroom she locked the door pulling out her phone calling Dasani

It rung three times before he answered

"Cassidy where are you? Are you safe?he rambled

"No I'm not safe!!!" She whispered yelled "Why would you send me to your house to the first place if you knew people where going to come here!!"

"The basement that's why! That's The safest place for you to be at this point , it's a hidden basement C and they wouldn't be able to know your there"

"I'm on my way stay in the basement!!!" He said before hanging up

Soundingly glass could be heard shattering

Closing her eyes tightly she said a quick prayer

She knew they were going to find her in the bathroom

Holding the gun tightly in her hands she took it off of safety aiming it right towards the door as she sat against the tub waiting for someone to come in

Tears became running down her face as she thought that this might possibly be her last day alive

Closing her eyes she took a deep breath as she heard voices and footsteps

"This nigga really packing, this shit nice as  hell" a voice said

"Man shut the fuck up damn , we ain't come here to compliment his shit"

"Check all the rooms"

Her heart thumped in her chest as soon as she heard that

She could hear the footsteps getting closer and closer minute by minute

The doorknob began to turn as soon as the door opened she pushed the trigger causing the gun to go off shooting the person right in the stomach

Once she realized who the person was her heart sunk to the bottom of her chest....
