Chapter 18

After breakfast alam family decided to have family time where girls chatted casually while Idris was listening silently. He was just nodding his head not trying to understand has he was lost in thoughts. Zeba found it amusing on how a businessman like Idris can be so inattentive and lost in thoughts. He wanted to go home and be alone with his wife. While she wanted to spend time with her family and don't wanna go back.
He tried talking to her and she ignored his hesitance. She was happy to be their and he was frustrated for it.

He walked out of living room giving excuse to make call. When he was out warda and zeba burst out laughing on how they annoyed him by not letting him to talk.

Idris stayed in his room gazing at his laptop. He tried doing work but got distracted with his thoughts. He got message from Haider he checked it out of curiosity only to find his wife pictures from wedding day. Then he remembered the talk with her and chuckle on his stupidity on not looking at her that day.

He went to dining room for lunch and found her mother and sister sitting their he frown but sat silently when his mother answered his unasked question

"Zeba went to visit her family house" his mother said while serving herself

"Why didn't she inform me before going" he said with loud voice that startled them

"Idris she went to inform but you have locked your room and was not even answering your call" his mother said strictly

"Sorry for speaking loudly. I was on video call with my manager it was important so I locked room. I didn't knew" he said guilty of his actions

"Its okay. zeba was not ready to go but I ordered seeing how much she missed her dadu" she said

"Why sudden plan she could have gone after dinner"he said calmly but a bit upset hiding it under his blank expression

"Oh that Haider came. He said he have messaged you and you said yes"she said then he realised that when he got message he didn't read it but have replied 👍🏻.

Zeba was thinking how Idris didn't said bye nor talk to her but agreed to Haider for picking her up. Idris was being difficult but she understood one thing that no matter what they need to talk to solve it and she didn't mind to start conversation.

She was busy with taking care of dadu and her office. While he was busy with work trying to distract himself but his frustration ended on his employees.

She accompanied dadu at evening walk listening to his stories when his words made her realise Idris attitude which she ignored now she understood that he was feeling guilty so to mask it he is being distant. She decided to visit him in morning and slept with thought to end this issue.

In morning she dressed up early and left for his office of course she needs appointment to meet so auntie help her in it.

When she entered his floor the thing that make her frown was his husbands shouting from his office. She stood their for his employee to leave. While he was unaware of intruder scolded her for entering.

"Why are you here again don't you have manners how can you enter without my permission. I already said you not to disturb me " he said in anger while is voice made her flinch but she maintained calm composure

"I have already knocked Mr.alam but you where to busy to reply" she said while entering the room

"Didn't you heard me" he said but stop while looking at her. He can't believe his eyes he is sure he is imagining her again

"Are you not going to ask me to have seat and about taking permission I already have taken appointment. So now let's not waste our time" she said while sitting and he cleared his throat to avoid embarrassment

"You didn't need to take appointment you could have called me I would've received you myself" he said

"I called you but your phone is switched off. I'm actually calling you from yesterday" she said and he looked for his phone remember its battery died.

"Oh yeah. Let me order something first" he said and ordered two tea and snacks when poen arrived she remained quiet and started sipping tea even when she don't like it

"Tea here is tasty you know its my favourite" he said smiling while she nod

"I don't drink tea its actually good in taste" she said and his smile disappears

"You could have said earlier" he said with frown

"You didn't ask me and I think you never noticed at breakfast that I only have coffee" she said but he gave blank expression which she understood that he is trying to hide his guilt

"I will order coffee for you" he said and she stooped him

"No need. I'm enjoying tea i can now understand why you like it" she said and he smile at it

"Will you accompany me to pune" she said

"Of course I will see you off" he said eagerly while she nods her head negatively

"I mean will you come with me to Pune like vacation" she asked

"I don't want to disturb your work you maybe busy" he said trying to burden her

"I can manage plus the work will end in a day then if you agree we can tour around till weekend" she explained him

"In that case I will check my schedule" he said happy to know he is getting time with her. He called his assistant who look scared but he answered him and postpone his meeting which where not important and he decides to finish them before leaving

"Let's have lunch. I'm pretty hungry" she said

"Yeah sure I didn't even have breakfast" he said and she frown but he explained that he was busy

"Because you make me drink your special tea i will take you to my special restaurant for lunch" she said and he agreed to smile

They had lunch at restaurant of her choice and Idris actually like her choice.

Hadith of the day :
Abu Hurairah 'Abd al-Rahman bin Sakhr, (radiyallahu 'anhu), reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam), say:
"Avoid that which I forbid you to do and do that which I command you to do to the best of your capacity. Verily the people before you were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning and their disagreement with their Prophets."
