my flower; you bloomed in my light.
beautiful in your own way,
an exquisite delight.
caught up in your own struggles,
planted in my garden,
as you laid right beside me.
solitude & peace.
my scarred petals a reminder of you,
as you healed me with your radiating sunlight.
your aura was layered,
a shade of blue.
i wanted to preserve you,
keep you safe with me,
but i couldn't.
drop by drop, minute after minute—
you gave me your love.
i blossomed,
trapped in my own cage filled with feral thorns;
the demons of my past.
anticipating the day, the one day,
that i'd break free,
and get to caress your velvet like skin, again.
but by the time i was full of life,
your petals were wilted.
you gave me each and every inch of you,
even when you had nothing left to give.
you were withering,
plucked and pulled apart at the seems.
so perfectly imperfect, a beautiful disaster.
and even though you were gone,
you'd always bloom in my heart.

— YOU WERE LIKE THE PETALS OF MY FAVOURITE FLOWER, I COULDN'T HELP BUT PLUCK YOU.
