Kageyama POV
We were still smiling and holding hands when we walked to his house.

My head was still spinning with what happened at the peer.

I was so happy I never wanted to stop smiling.

When we took the turn to his house however, something was in the driveway.

A little white car...
His mums little white car!

He squeezed my hand even tighter when he saw it.

She was standing outside and she looked like she was waiting for someone.

We pulled our hands away from each other when she spotted us.

She ran up to Hinata, completely ignoring me and grabbing him on the shoulders.

He flinched and looked at her, confused.

"Shoyo, sweetie" she said in an overly nice way. "I need you to come with me now"

He shakes a little but doesn't resist, his mum practically dragged him to the car.

"E...excuse me miss!" I call out suddenly. She turns to look at me like she didn't even realised I was there.

"Kageyama?" She says "What are you doing here?"

"Where are you taking him?" I ask.

She looks like she's thinking about something, probably to decide whether to tell me the truth or not.

"I'm taking him to a hospital"

Without a second thought she runs to her car and drives to the way of the hospital.

It's the same way Natsu pointed the other day.

I wanted to follow them, but I wasn't fast enough to keep up with a freaking car!

I looked around frantically to see what I could do.

I didn't have money for a taxi.
I didn't have anyone available who knew how to drive.
All I saw was Hinatas bike.

I walked up to it and looked at it weirdly.

I didn't know how to ride a bike.
I never needed to.

But little kids ride bikes don't they?
It can't be that hard?

I sit on it and immediately regret my decision.
I grabbed the handles and took my foot off the ground, almost falling when I do.

I push the pedal a little and struggle not to tumble.

I pant when I get out the driveway.

"This sucks!" I say to myself, putting the bike back and thinking up another way to get there.

I needed a car.
All of the third years that I knew  were still at school.
Miwa was working so I couldn't ask her.
Not to mention my parents who were probably in Europe somewhere.

My mind raced as I thought back.
Where could I find a car?

I thought back to those people that we met at the bayside area.

This references to chapters 5 and 6 btw

They knew Hinata!
Sure they were hoods and dropouts but it was the best chance I had.

It wasn't a far walk from Hinatas house, but I knew that if I went anywhere near there they would most definitely come to me.

"Oi!" I called as soon as I was alone there "Come out I know you're there!"

The same guy that spoke to Hinata the other day came out from behind the wall.

"It's you again" he says "What do you want?"

"A ride" I say blankly "I need you to drive me somewhere"

He narrows his eyes at me.

"That's certainly not what I expected"

I looked around.
"Where are your buddies?" I asked.

"Not here today. What makes you think that I'd give you a ride?"

I look at him and step back a little.
I didn't think that far ahead.

"Hinatas in the hospital" I tell him "I need to get there"

He smirks at me.

"Did you even think about what would happen if you came here. I could beat you into the hospital myself but with all my buddies here we could definitely kill you. Don't you even care about that?"

I shake my head.
He sighs at me.

"Give me one good reason I should take you"

I look at him.

"I can't do that" I say bluntly "But I really need to go"

I bow at him desperately and pray that he'll take me.

"Stand up" he says "You're lucky it's just me. Hurry up or I'll leave you behind"

To be honest, that's the last thing I expected him to say.

"Wait really- T-Thank you"

I say, picking myself up and running behind the wall. That same black car was there, parked and loaded.

I opened the door and got inside.
It smelled like cigarettes and mint.

He got in the front and put the hand break off.
"You ready to go?"

As we were driving, I noticed he was a lot more chatty then I thought he would be.

"So, what's up with you and Shouyo?"

"What's up with us? What's that supposed to mean?"

"So are you guys like dating or..."

I feel myself turn red and scoff at him.
He laughs at me.

"I'm only joking, you don't gotta answer me. I used to date him after all"

"Y...you did!?"

"What, did he not tell you? It was a long time ago, when he was in middle school and I first started highschool. I'm supposed to be a third year now but I dropped out two years ago"

"Is that why you two broke up?"

"Nah-uh. Cheated on him with some frat chick when I was drunk. He told me that he forgave me but I broke up with him since he was obviously hiding his pain"

"Do you still like him?"

"He used to be a good buddy. Now he's only good for teasing. Although I can get carried away with that too. Take real good care of him, looks like you need him"

Within minutes we were in front of the hospital.

"Thank you so much" I said, getting out of the car.

"No problem" he said "go get your man"
