Chapter 13: Pinks

Ryan POV

Tomorrow is Emma's birthday. She invited her new girl friends to her party along with a few other kids from her new school and all the guys from our friend group.

All the girls she's made friends with are spending the night. All the pack wolfs were told to stay in their human forms for tomorrow to ensure that no see's one them. Emma was very excited to turn thirteen. She's currently at the nail salon with my mom and afterwards they're going to go shopping. I had ordered Emma her cake it's the only thing she'd let me help with. Emma planned her entire party from color theme to finger foods.

I was excited that Emma is turning thirteen every year that passes by makes me happier because it means I'm one year closer to meeting the other half of her. I'd love Emma wolf or not but I'm still anxious to see her in her wolf form.

Emma POV

"Are you excited for your birthday party tomorrow?" Audrey asked. We were in the middle of getting our nails done. We had done them at the beginning of the week so I was surprised when she told me we were getting them done again.

"Yes I can't wait for Ryan to meet my new friends." I squeal. Audrey nods her head with an understanding shake.

I chose a light pink nail polish is was close to nude but still had color to make it stand out. I wanted to go for something more elegant.

When we finished at the salon we went straight to the mall. As we walked in to the large building full of people I could instantly smell cinnamon rolls. My stomach took that as a sign to growl in hunger. We stopped and got our cinnamon rolls and headed towards our first shop American Eagle. We looked at all the shorts and shirts. Since it's spring it's been getting warm here in California. I picked out a few pairs of high waisted shorts and a couple of cute eyelet crop tops. Audrey also picked out some clothes for me to try on. I ended up liking everything but on of the shirts we had picked out.

Grabbing the bags from the cashier we made our way to Urban Outfitters. I love this shop for skirts so I went nuts picking out skirts from flowy to pencil styled. We ended up finding the perfect outfit for my party. It was a blush satin short sleeve mini dress that was to die for. It was smooth under my fingertips and completed my newly found curves. It matched my nail polish. We found a cute pair of sandals that brought the whole look together.

When we had arrived home from our very successful shopping trip Luna pulled me aside before we entered.

"Be very quiet and follow me." She whispered. I was somewhat nervous to where she was taking me. We went upstairs to her lounging room off to the side of the room was what appeared to be a shelve. On the shelve were different types of candles all in pretty pink cups of different kinds. She looked over to me and gave me a mischievous smirk before she lifted a candle and pressed a hidden button that was underneath. The shelve opened up into a large space. We walked into the hidden room and that's where I found the most incredible place.

It was a closet. But not just any closet it held jewelry. Ruby's and diamonds and all different kinds of beautiful gems.

"What is all this?" I said in astonishment.

"These are my jewels. My husband and I met at a very young age similar to you and Ryan. Except we met when we turned fourteen. It was very rare for us to meet so young and yet we did and so have you and Ryan. This" she said picking up a rose gold diamond necklace. " was my first gift from my mate. He gave it to me when we met. He had bought it prior to meeting me because he knew that when he did meet his mate he wanted her to know that he could offer her or me the world."

"It's gorgeous." I gasp smiling at the sweet story. I hadn't known that Luna Audrey had met Alpha William at such a young age. I knew he was two years older than her but I just assumed they met when she turned sixteen.

"I want to offer you the world." I couldn't help but jump at the sound of Ryan's voice. I turned to find him in the doorway of the room. Luna quickly left us alone amongst all of her jewelry.

"We are very lucky you know. That we got to know our mates before shifting. I hadn't known I was going to find you so soon if I had I would have given this to you sooner. I couldn't help but gasp as Ryan pulled out a royal blue box. He opened it to reveal a beautiful ring. It had a large pink diamond in the center surrounded by tiny white diamonds. They all were set on a gold base. It was absolutely perfect.

"This is my ring to you as I promise I will give you the world. This isn't an engagement ring or anything I'll get you one of those when we're older." He chuckled. " I love you Emma and I'm so happy that your mine and will be mine forever.

"I love you to. Goddess you the best mate." I whispered as I jumped into his arms wrapping him in a hug. As we pulled back he placed the ring delicately on my finger. Leaning towards my ear he whispered sternly.

"Please don't ever take this off."

I looked into his eyes and promised that it wouldn't leave my finger.

Tonight Alpha William actually made dinner with the help of my father. We were having smoked ribs with freshly fried fries. To say that it was amazing would be the understatement of a lifetime.

My father would stop looking at my ring for the entire meal.

"Ryan. Is their something you'd like to tell me?" My father questioned. This had the Luna giggling and Alpha Williams obviously trying not to laugh.

My fathers face became redder by the second.

"Not that I can think of Beta James." He replied firmly with a smile. Oh goddess was this going to be a show.

"Then why does my twelve year old daughter a freaking engagement ring on her finger!" My dad yelled. This time the alpha did laugh. Which my father ignored as he continued to glare at my mate.

I took this as my moment to intervene.

"Daddy it's not an engagement ring. Okay so you need to chill and tell Ralph to also take it down a notch okay. Also I'm practically thirteen." I growled. Ralph by the way is my dads over protective wolf he's almost as bad as my dad himself.

"Sir with all do respect." Oh no do not speak Ryan. "I gave her a promise ring. It's similar to an engagement ring." Ryan said proudly.

"So you have my daughter basically an engagement ring?" My father growled once again not pleased with the answer.

"Daddy! The ring is his way of saying I'm his. Alpha William gave Luna Audrey a gift similar to mine!" I yell. Our argument may seem stupid but it isn't.

My father can't handle the fact that I have a mate. He's so indecisive when it comes to Ryan. When ever Ryan and I face a milestone it's like my father can't be happy about it. I pull Ryan form his seat and walk us out of the dining room without a glance or a word goodbye.
