We spent some time apple picking at the orchids, and then decided to head out to the big city and just drive around.
"This is a change of things... you driving. Maybe you don't need me anymore" Liam says
"I'm always gonna need you Liam" I say turning to him
He looks at me and answers "I'll always be there for you then" and grabs my hand
After driving around more for a bit, It starts to get late so I drive Liam home which was not too far from Manhattan. I park in front of his building and turn off the car.
"Why don't you come on in?" he asks
I look at the time and notice its getting late, but not wanting to decline his offer, I say
"Ok, but only for a bit, I need to get going soon. Work tomorrow-"
"Jeez I know, my boss is one old looking fierce woman who will fire me if i'm late" he says
I let out a lugh "HeY! I'm not old-"
I walk up the stairs following Liam into his bachelor apartment. When I walked in, I noticed how empty and minimal his apartment was. It was very bare with most of the furniture covered with white sheets which I found to be quite odd.
"I don't really have many things, I'm out working all the time anyway so I only sleep here and leave" he says walking into his kitchen
"Coffee?" he asks
"Sure, just coffee and then I'll head on out" I say
I sit on a stool and watch him as he makes our coffee. He changed into a fitted white tee with sweatpants. I admired his back that was faced towards me and took notice of how each muscle moved. I stopped drooling when he turns to face me handing over my coffee
"Thank you again for spending the day with me. I haven't had this much fun in a while" I say
"No, thank you Alex, for everything" he answers
"Especially for driving me, it's a nice change of scenery" he continues saying and chuckles
We drink our coffee and I bring my cup to the sink. I noticed there was absolutely nothing in his apartment. No pictures of family, no notes, no accessories, nothing. Only a couple pieces of furniture, a bed, a few clothes and that's it. He didn't even have a TV... it was quite weird and strange. To me at least....
When I lived in my apartment before, when I was working at the hospital, I had little to nothing in my apartment. But I still had pictures of family, nature and just things that described me. Liam's apartment gave no personality, no home feeling. It was like he was anonymous...."I'll see you tomorrow fine sir" I say as he walks me out the door
"I'll be there, wearing my chauffeur hat" he teases
