The soft morning light streamed through the window, illuminating Kaden's peaceful face as he snoozed. I couldn't help but smile at the sight, running my fingers through his silky hair.

"Good morning," his sleepy voice mumbled as he stirred awake.

"Good morning," I greeted with a warm smile.

His concern from the previous night still lingered, and he asked, "Are you okay after last night?"

"Yeah, I'm great. I feel good," I reassured him, leaning in for a tender kiss. As he pulled me closer, we basked in each other's warmth for what felt like an eternity, only then realizing we were still unclothed. Snuggling against his chest, I checked my phone and found an alarming flurry of missed calls and messages.

Seven missed calls from my dad, three from my sister, and a string of messages from Zack. Panic gripped me as I read the words—my mother had collapsed and was now in the hospital. Zack had been texting me incessantly, urging Kaden to answer.

Kaden was already on the phone with his mother when I looked up at him. "Hello, mom," he greeted, his morning voice deep and incredibly alluring. His hands traced comforting patterns on my bare back, and I couldn't help but smile at his touch.

"What?" he glanced at me, a playful glint in his eye. "Yeah, I've got her here with me. We stayed at a friend's house," he winked, cheekily including me in the little white lie.

"Okay, we're coming," he concluded the call and then hugged me tightly, not caring about our lack of clothes.

"She's in h—" I started to say, but his kiss silenced me.

"I know, don't explain. I know," he whispered, his forehead touching mine affectionately.

"We need to go," I said, hurriedly getting dressed in my underwear and sweatpants. I glanced at Kaden, who looked relaxed and enticing, the sheets covering his toned torso, exposing just enough to tease me. He was like a perfectly sculpted work of art.

"I don't want to get up," he groaned playfully.

"Have you seen my bra?" I asked, covering my breasts with my hands.

"No, last time I saw it was when I was taking it from you," he smirked, teasingly glancing around the room.

I found my bra on the lamp, put it on, and saw Kaden getting dressed as well. We eventually got ready, reflecting on the unforgettable night we had shared.

"Last night was great," I smiled.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know I did," he grinned, leaning in for another affectionate kiss before we headed to his car.

As we drove to the hospital, my heart pounded with worry for my mother. I rushed through the doors, finding my dad, brother, sister, and Kaden's mom waiting anxiously. The journey ahead felt uncertain, but having Kaden by my side brought a sense of comfort and strength that I would need to face whatever lay ahead.

"Where's Kaden?" his mom inquired, her worry evident.

"He's coming," I assured her, glancing around the hospital waiting room. "Where is she?" I turned to my dad, my concern for my mother palpable.
