Jisoo was on cloud nine after spending a wonderful weekend with her parents She didn't know she missed them that much Taehyung was a gentleman and he showed an affectionate version during all the moments they spent together
About the wedding gift, Jisoo still didn't believe she owned two very well-located establishments Her parents were so excited about the idea of finally having an occupation again, that Mr.kim even accepted the proposed treatment
After a brief private conversation between the young couple, Taehyung assured Jisoo that the gift was independent of the contract She thought that if she wasn't already in love with him, she would fall in love at that moment For the first time, the family spent the weekend making plans for the future
"Oh my God, I can't believe you're here!" Jennie said while she entered Jisoo's office with two mugs in hands "Welcome back!"
"I missed you too, Jen!" Jisoo took one mug
"Oh, come on! You didn't even call me once!" Jennie scolded "But I forgive you just because you are sleeping with that Greek God Tell me everything! How was it?"
"He's more than I could have imagined! He's kind, lovable and caring"
"Are we talking about the same person, Jisoo?"
"Yes..." the brown-haired woman sighed lovingly
"Oh Gosh, she's so damn in love!"
The phone rang interrupting that girly talk Jisoo answered promptly and when she hung up, she was pale
"What's wrong?" Jennie asked worried
"Hyunjin is here" she answered perplexed
Jennie widened her eyes and made her way toward the exit "I'll inform Mr.Kim"
After a few minutes, Hyunjin was comfortably seated in front of Taehyung
"What are you doing here?" Taehyung asked dryly
"Business What else could it be?"
"I don't do business with you"
"I just wanna talk,Kim" Hyunjin smirked
"How's your new fiancée going? I heard you're engaged already Are you desperate to get married?"
Taehyung clenched his jaw and closed his hands into fists "This is definitely not your business"
"You're just like your father" Hyunjin mocked "How is that old man by the way?"
"Hyunjin, I don't have time for little talks What are you doing here?"
"Maive's Project I want that millionaire contract" Hyunjin stared at that cold CEO "Do your best Because I'll fight for it"
"The same way you would fight for Jisoo?"
"I don't need to fight for her" Taehyung stated
"What if she was in danger?" Hyunjin raised his eyebrow and asked in a mocking tone
Taehyung felt a burning sensation in his stomach As he assumed, Hyunjin was there to threaten him.But he wouldn't fall that easy Of course, Jisoo's safety was out of the question, Taehyung would do anything to keep her safe, but Hyunjin couldn't know that
Taehyung leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest, trying to look unshakable
"Are you threatening me? Are you not tired of this game?" Taehyung had fire on his eyes
"Understand how you want. I'm just saying..." Hyunjin leaned forward and completed with a malicious voice "Jisoo could get hurt along the day Is she aware?"
Taehyung stood up and rested both hands on the table
"I don't care if she's aware or not Contrary to what you might think, I have no feelings for her I am only complying with protocols of this society"
Hyunjin's smile faltered "She is just a pawn on your board"
"It has always been like that" Taehyung forced himself to smile, because in fact he would like to punch that asshole in the face
"Ok" Hyunjin said while he got up "May the best win I just want you to know that I will do everything to get this contract Whatever it takes" he made his way towards the door
"I wouldn't expect the opposite when it comes to you" Taehyung tried to control his anger
When Hyunjin opened the door, Jisoo was there, standing on her feet, holding a small tray with coffee Her mouth was half-opened and she couldn't even blink
"Hello, beautiful!" Hyunjin said evilly, opening a large smile
Jisoo came back to herself, blinking a few times She stared at Taehyung for a moment, then turned around, dropped the tray somewhere nearby and left
"I think your secretary heard our conversation behind the door, Kim" Hyunjin grinned while he left the room, slamming the door
"Shit!" Taehyung murmured
