Chapter 20- I love you

[Time skip: One month later; Prison interview of Jeong Min-ho]

Author's POV:

"This interview was filmed under tight security of Seoul central jail.... let's begin... Good morning, this is reporter Yun Sae-Jong of SBS reporting from the Seoul central jail. Today, I'm here to interview the psychopathic serial killer whom people assumed to be dead but is actually alive and was fortunately caught last month... yes, I'm talking about Jeong Min-ho" She said as the camera focuses on Jeong Min-ho who sat on the chair in front of the reporter with his hands cuffed with the legs of the table which was in the middle of them. 

"Everybody to date thought that you were dead. Of course, no human can survive a gunshot if hit in the vital areas but you fell into the sea soon after you were shot and there was a tide too" The reporter questioned Jeong Min-ho who looked at his feet all along until he raised his eyes and looked at the camera and started answering

"No one ever found my body, how can they conclude that I'm dead? The tide could've taken my body far away but how far? Someday my body was to be found but was it found? No! I may be a neurosurgeon but I know the basics about other normal surgeries too. The bullet hit me in the stomach so it wasn't much of a problem since I always carry around a small bag of tools with me and I did too, on that day" 

"You mean to say that-"

"Yes, I performed surgery on myself and got the bullet out" He replied with his infamous smile which sent chills down the spine of everyone present in that room

"The reports say that you are a psychopath and we all know a psychopath can never love someone. Did you really love your wife or was it a lie as well?" The air was thick as everyone waited for his answer. He let out a small laugh and looked at the camera with what seemed like a smirk

"You must also know that psychopaths can lie very well. I married Yeon-hee because I needed kids... I needed kids who would grow to become a monster like me" He replied. Everyone in the room had a scared expression seeing which made him happy as he smiled. Reporter Yun Sae-Jong cleared her throat before he asked the next question

"You needed kids who will later grow up to become like you. well, you had kids, two sons to be precise. Your oldest son died with his mother after your youngest son killed them and has been wanted by the police for over ten years... looks like you got your wish-" he cut her off in the middle by saying,

"No, I failed. Even though my oldest son did have similarities with me, my younger son was more like her mother. He was too scared of anything that I said unlike my oldest son, who listened to me as if it was nothing. After I recovered from being shot by the police, I returned to my house to kill my family too because they were useless. My wife always expected my love for her but she was nothing but a mere human I needed to have my kids. My oldest son started thinking of himself higher than me when I could've crushed him under my feet.... they were annoying, so I killed them"

"Your son, Jeong Yun-oh wasn't the killer?" The reporter asked quite shocked 

"No no, that was my piece of art. Yun-oh isn't even capable of killing a fly" He replied before he started laughing

"Then where were you all these years? And why are you back now?" The question made him sit straight as if he was waiting for this question

"You know a psychopath will lose his mind if he doesn't kill someone. You all wouldn't have realized but I've been killing people all these years. The old theatre which was on fire a few years ago? I was the one who started the fire, it was not some short circuit. The group of campers found dead in the fire? I killed them and it wasn't a wild animal. 
And as for the question, why am I back now... Well, I never left. I've been searching for my younger son all these years because I wanted to kill him. Had he not informed the police that day, then I wouldn't have got caught"
