CHAPTER 31

The following days, iniwasan ko talaga si Dash. I know that I'm starting to get into his nerve but I can't help it. When we're toppgether he was acting like there's no Sean in the picture. I'm getting nervous because once my grandfather finds out, I don't know what could happen.

"Just a week ago, you freak out when he took Niel and now, you just let him take your son. You're unbelievable, Cara."

Halos irapan na ako ni Sean. He doesn't like the idea that Niel's with his father... alone. Naiintindihan ko naman siya kasi alam kong napamahal na sila sa isa't isa.

"Those two needs a lot of catching up." bulong ko sa kaniya.

Kanina pa kami nagbubulungan na dalawa rito sa sala namin. Sila Papa ay may pinag-uusapan sa kusina. More on chismis dahil nakikita ko si Ate Aira na pangisi-ngisi. Well, I really can't tell. Lahat naman ay amusing sa asawa ni Kuya'ng iyon.

"Kayo ni Dash? Done catching up?" he asked, cocking his brows.

I rolled my eyes. Sometimes, he's really nosy.

"Walang kami. I just told him what happened; what's with our set up; how is it that Niel's alive despite the fact that he thought, our baby died and that from the start, Niel new that he was his father — his daddy."

"Oh! Then, I'll just pretend that three days ago I didn't saw the hickey near your navel, Cara."

Sinabunutan ko siya. Buti nalang talaga at hindi siya nakapusod. "Tsismoso! Kinagat lang iyon ng hayop!" nakakagigil talaga 'tong lalaking' to.

"Oo na. Hayop na ang may gawa. Hayop na 'yon." tatawa tawa pa siya habang inaayos ang buhok niya at ako ay namumula na sa inis.

Umayos lang kami nang maupo sa harapan namin sila Papa, Mama, Kuya Hans, Jace and Seb pati na rin si Ate Aira. Bali nakapaligid pala sila sa amin ni Sean.

"Ang harot nyo." ani Seb.

Binato ko siya ng pillow. Binatukan naman siya ni Kuya Jace at si Ate Aira ay bumungisngis lang sa tabi niya.

"Tahimik, Sebastian!" ani Papa. "Ikaw nagpalaki ng gulo na 'to, baka nakakalimutan mo." dugtong pa ni Papa. Yung expression ni Seb, kulang nalang ay mag walk-out siya.

"Caramel, sumasakit ang ulo ko sa' yo." ani Mama Linda. "Si Dash ang ama ni Niel pero ipinaako mo kay Sean — si Sean na ka-fix marriage mo. Bakit?"

I looked at Sean helplessly. He just nodded and start explaining.

"Well, I am into this certain circumstance and I need a get away. It's just so happened that Cara came."

Pinapaikot ikot niya sila Mama. Sean really doesn't want to enclose his little secret to anyone. Kung ako lang, baka naisiwalat ko na ang sekreto niya. Kung bakit kasi hindi nalang harapin.

"And what is that 'certain circumstance', aber?" ani Mama Linda ulit.

Sumeryoso si Sean. "I'm sorry but I can't really tell you. Let's just say that I hated being paired and that I can't be paired to any woman regardless of who they are so I accepted Cara as my fiancée. Her grandfather doesn't know she was pregnant with Niel. Cara and I knew each other. She needed a scape, so do I. A month later, we announce her pregnancy. They were shocked." ani Sean." Of course, we told them that we knew each other back in the Philippines."

"That's ridiculous and lame." ani Kuya Jace. "Cara, dapat ay sinabi mo nalang sa Lolo mo ang totoo. Wala naman siyang magagawa na dahil buntis ka na. Chinese or not, he needs to accept Dashiel as your son's father."
