EIGHTEEN TEN

71 12 12

On this day in history

Nothing much occurred

No great wars were ended

No great message shared

On this day in history

New discoveries were old news

The world spun on its axis

Without thought to joy or blues

The people crawled

Like worker ants

Going all about their days

Oblivious to worldly woes

Stuck in their mundane ways

On this day in history

There was not too much to see

But, on this day in history,

The world met me
