Nothing much occurred
No great wars were ended
No great message shared
On this day in history
New discoveries were old news
The world spun on its axis
Without thought to joy or blues
The people crawled
Like worker ants
Going all about their days
Oblivious to worldly woes
Stuck in their mundane ways
On this day in history
There was not too much to see
But, on this day in history,
The world met me
