Katie's P.O.V

I had been here for a week and it honestly felt like forever. I had nothing to do and I wasn't even sure when I would be found or more importantly IF I would be found.

I had only gotten bread and water but occasionally Ash would sneak me in a granola bar but that was it, I also only got to go to the bathroom twice a day and that wasn't easy.

I didn't really hear anyone around much and I assumed they were out doing some criminal activities. I might sound like I'm over exaggerating but these were my kidnappers so I obviously didn't like them very much.

I had tried looking for options to get out but the bedroom I was in had no windows, which was strange, and it locked from the outside. I tried picking the lock but I think the doorknob is also tied to something as I have had no luck at all.

I suddenly heard Ash talking outside my door so I quickly went up and put my ear on the door to listen.

"Of course we are coming later."

"Everything will go as planned."

"Of course they don't know, they're so stupid." Then he laughed.

"Alright, I'll see you later."

I assumed he was on the phone since I couldn't hear anyone else talking.

The door swung open and I fell to the ground, startled I quickly looked up to see Ash standing there.

"Were you listening?" Ash asked with a worried look on his face. That was strange... I thought.

"No..I..Uh was just sitting against the door because I was..."I tried coming up with some sort of reason but it just came out in a jumble of words.

"Never mind I don't care," Ash stated as he threw a bag on the bed. "Get changed you're going out today," Ash commanded calmly then left without saying another word. My eyes lit up at the thought that maybe I could go home but something inside of me doubted that.

I opened the bag to reveal a T-shirt, jeans, a sweater, and a pair of running shoes and just as I was changing I heard yelling outside my door.

"We have to leave now!" Colton yelled.

"Why?" Joseph asked.

"I just saw her little boyfriend looking for her near the woods. They are getting closer." Colton said. Boyfriend? I didn't have a boyfriend, then It clicked that he might be talking about Alex. I was so happy that they were getting closer to finding me.

I quickly got dressed and waited by the door. Then I heard yelling again and it was getting closer.

"Why do we always have to keep running because of her? The cops don't know it's us who have her so why can't we just kill her and forget about it?" Joseph asked.

"We haven't gotten the money so we can't kill her yet. Remember it's either her or us who die.'' Jake said. Kill her yet?so they were going to kill me, I'm not going back to my family. It really hurt inside and I didn't notice the tears trickling down my face.

''I'm tired of this Colton," Ash said and then there was a loud thump.

"You shouldn't have hit him" Jake stated and I heard footsteps coming my way.

Ash opened the door and roughly grabbed my arm. I had never seen him angry like this and it scared me. His eyes were piercing through me and I tried to get out of his grip but he just dragged me out of the room. There were loud footsteps and then Colton appeared around the corner and he looked angry. I noticed his lip was bleeding as he came charging at us.

"GET BACK HERE!' Colton yelled and ash just ignored him and started running, dragging me along too.

"Stop, Your hurting me." I pleaded but he just gripped tighter and I let out a cry in pain. Just as we reached the front door my hair was yanked back and Ash let go of me. The person holding me held their arm around my neck.

"Colton let her go," Jake said calmly from the corner of the room. Colton grip tightened and I started to cough because I was having trouble breathing. that's when he held up a gun to Ash.

"Come on put the gun down," Jake said coming closer.

Colton's hands began to shake as he aimed the gun at ash and then he pulled the trigger. The gunshot was loud and my ears started to ring but I regained focus only to realized he missed and shot the wall.

I noticed that Colton had let go of me and I took this opportunity to run to the door. I swung it open and I ran as fast as I could, I didn't hear anyone following me but I didn't bother to look back, I just had to get away from here. I saw a man standing on his phone beside a car and I quickly ran up to him panting and out of breath.

"help...me..they...they.. are after me," I said between breaths and the guy just looked at me wide-eyed.

"Calm down who is after you." The guy said. I breathed and took a look at him, He had black hair that came just below his ear and brown eyes. I quickly came out of my daze when I heard footsteps approaching me. I whipped around to see ash behind me and he was very close and angry.

"It's her!"Ash yelled at the guy and the guy's eyes went wide again and he quickly threw open the trunk. I struggle to get away but I couldn't, there was no way I was going in the trunk.

"Quick get her in!" The guy said to ash.

I didn't understand what was going on but I didn't want to stay to find out, I tried to run but they blocked me in so I reached my hand up to punch the guy but he grabbed my wrist before I could and twisted it.

I screamed in pain and he took this chance to grab me and throw me into the trunk of the car. I didn't understand what was going on and suddenly it was completely dark. The car started and began to move increasingly high speed that made my body jolt to the side. I heard yelling coming closer to the car than a gunshot. The car stopped so suddenly that my body was hit against the trunk again.

There was another shot and I heard someone let out a horrifying yell of pain. After that, the car started and it jolted me forward but this time my head hit something hard and everything went black.
