Ch. 14 "Denis Ryan"

                                                  Cody POV 

It had been a while and Bruce and Tony walked in, 

"Alright Cody, it looks like your levels are back to normal," Bruce said 

"So I can go?" I asked 

"Yes, you can go once I take the IV out," He said 

I nodded, 

He took the IV out and put some gauze and tape,

"Alright all set," He said 

"Thank you," I said 

I hopped out of the bed about to walk out, 

"Whoa slow down where do you think your going?" Tony said 

"I have to change I feel gross," I said 

"Not until we talk and not just about me being your father," He said 

I arched my brow looking at him confused, 

"Cody I seen the bruises when we had to give you the glucagon" Tony said 

"What bruises," I said 

"We really going to play it this way?" He said 

"Look it's no big deal alright," I said as I kept walking, 

"Cody," Tony said grabbing my arm which resulted in me flinching and withdrawing my arm from his grasp like I just got burnt, 

"Cody," He said 

"I have to go," I said 

                                  Tony POV 

Peter wasn't far, she was talking to him then hugged him and left, he sees the worry on my face, 

"Don't take it personal Mr Stark she's been like that since her mother got admitted to the hospital," Peter said 

"Did she ever say way?" I asked 

"No just tells me to not to worry about it," Peter said 

I can tell the kid is lying to me, 

"You know it doesn't take a genius to know you are lying to me," I said 

At this point Bucky and Steve were next to me, 

"No I'm not," He said getting nervous 

"Oh he is definitely lying," Bucky said smirking 

"No I'm not," He said stuttering, 

"look I'm not going to get mad just tell me," I said 

"I can't," He said 

"Can't or won't?" Steve said 

"Look I get it you two are best friends, will do anything for each other, but if something bad is going on you need to tell us," Bucky said 

"Oh look at the time I've uh got a thing.." Peter said 

"Peter now," Steve said stepping towards him 

"Look all I can say is look into her Step father and his Real last name is Ryan and Grey," Peter said 

With that he left, 

We we all went to the computer lab, 

"Denis Ryan," I typed in 

And a very long list went on the screen, 

"Armed robbery, child endangerment, domestic abuse, child abuse, abuse of drugs, theft, assault, extortion," 

"That's a long list," Nat said 

"Very long," Bucky said 

"No wonder he has a fake name," Steve said crossing his arms, 

"Look he's got a warrant for his arrest for a assaulting a woman and stealing her car," Clint said 

"Perfect," I said 

"I don't like that Cody is living with this creep," I said 

I stood up leaving the room
