Ch. 29 "Extreme Messures"

                                          Cody POV 

I feel like a bratty teenager on house arrest after sneaking out in the middle of the night to go make out with some Random Joe, and your parents catch you in the act, I thought 

So It's been a few days since my little crash studying and to tell you Tony is blowing this way out of proportion is an understatement, 

Because now he has FRIDAY monitor my time, and if I exceed the limit, guess what, either Tony, Steve or Bucky burst in taking that privilege away from me, 

It is preposterous I am a collage student, thirteen, how am I supposed to pass if they won't let me study, I thought, 

But let's be honest here, I'm not one to follow the rules, no I like to bend and break them, so Everyday, when I'm about to exceed my time, let's just say I sneak out of the tower for a few hours, 

Going to my hide out lab, 

What can I say what they don't know won't hurt them, 

And that is exactly what I'm doing, walking down the street on my way there, 

At least that's what I thought I was doing, that is until Tony decided to land right in front of me in his Iron Man suit, 

"And where on earth are you off to?" He said in a robotic voice from behind the helmet, 

"No where in particular," I said 

"I know what your up to, FRIDAY has informed me how often you leave, and it's at the same time every night and you return around the same time every night," He said 

I rolled my eyes shaking my head, 

I tried to walk by him but he blocked me, 

"Cody this defiance has to stop," He said sternly, 

"I'm not being defiant, I just find the lengths that you are going to prevent me from passing to be  very ignorant, don't you have avenger affairs to take care of?" I said 

"Yes I do, but you are my top priority, I don't want you falling unconscious and almost going into a diabetic coma thank you very much," He said 

"Now your just being dramatic," I said trying to walk past him again but he blocked me again, 

"I'm being serious Cody," He said 

"So am I, I have a final tomorrow, I'm not letting you or anyone else prevent me from getting above average on it," I said about to walk by him again, 

"At what cost, you went into diabetic shock a few days ago," He said 

"It was a mistake, an error I will not make again," I said 

"Why do I find that hard to believe," He said 

I rolled my eyes, just as I was about to pass him, his hand wrapped around my wrist, still a little uncomfortable about the touchy feely thanks to HIM Denis, He made human contact difficult for me, 

Tony Felt me Tense, 

"Cody I-" He began, 

"It's fine," I said taking my wrist from his grip, 

"Let's go were going back to the tower," He said 

"Are you going to let me study?" I said 

"Have you exceeded your limit?" He asked with a smug smirk, 

If it wasn't frowned upon bitch slapping your father I would have, 

"Don't see why I have to have a limit, this is a little controlling don't you think?" I asked 

"Controlling Please it's called parenting, and I'm genially concerned for the welfare of my only daughter," He said 

I rolled my eyes, 

"Well your parenting" I said making quotation marks with my fingers, 

"Needs some work," I said 

"Noted so are you going to go to the tower, or am I going to have to drag you there kicking and screaming," He said 

I sighed, 

"I don't have a choice in the matter," I said bitterly 

"Now your learning," He said chuckling with his arm over my shoulders, 

"Says the guy who won't let me study," I mumbled 

"You'll learn one day that everything that I do is for your own good," He said 

"Sure I will," I mumbled 

We walked down the street, but I got an odd feeling, I stopped in my tracks looking around for a minute, the feeling sent a uncomfortable feeling down my spine, 

"Cody?" He asked looking at me, 

I think he seen the looked on my face as I looked around, 

"What is it?" He asked, 

"Uh.. Nothing, lets go," I said 

With that we walked back to the tower, 

                                              Third Person POV 

Denis stood there, in a dark Alley, watching Cody, watching the life she was building, how much he hated that she had everything he wanted, 

Now thanks to Tony Stark, he has a record, and no one ever wants to hire a man who beats children, 

And man did he get ass kickings in the prison, apparently, Mafia, thugs and any other hard core criminals, All the criminals gathered in the prison almost beating him to death with their bare hands, 

Hurting Children is a big No, No in the criminal world, they had to release Denis in fear that he was going to get killed, 

"Your going to pay for this Cody, I promise you that," Denis whispered as he walked in the opposite direction
