He was the fire to my heart. I wanted him to burn me.

*Bell rings*

"Hey! What are you doing after school?"

"Amelia, I told you I have to study for the final exam."

Ah, Amelia. Evelyn's best friend. The party girl.

"Oh come on! At least try to have some fun this weekend! I heard Connor's throwing a party.

''Parties are not my thing Amelia. Besides you know my wardrobe. I would have nothing to wear."

"Sweet, Sweet Evelyn. That's what I'm here for. Just wear something of mine."

"Amelia I'm not going to the party. I have to study."

"You have fun with that."

Amelia walks away.

"Ow!"

I bumped into a hard chest.

"Watch where you're going clown!"

Crowds of people start laughing.

Classic Connor. The schools bad boy. Evelyn's crush.

I can't believe I like HIM.

Trying to forget about what happened, I went to my next class. Science.

"Ok class. Today we will be working with partners in the lab. I will be pairing you guys up."

Everybody's name was called except for mine and Connor's.

"Looks like you two will be working together today."

"Can I be with someone else? Anyone else!"

My heart shattered hearing Connor say that.

"No Connor, Evelyn is your partner for this project."

"Great." Connor scoffed under his breath.

"Looks like we're partners. What do you wanna start on."

"I don't care just come over my house today at 6."

My eyes started to tear up noticing Connor didn't like me back. It's whatever.

"Okay."

*Bell rings*

It was the end of the day and I started to head home. It was 3:30.

"I should shower before going to Connor's."

I got in the shower and washed up. I changed into leggings and an oversized sweatshirt. By time I was done with everything it was 5:25.

"Mom I'm going over Connor's house to work on the project for school!"

"Okay sweetie be careful!"

"I will, bye mom!"
